What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I only swapped out the gear knob, not the lever.

The plastic shaft that connects to the gear knob is where the mod takes place. All that has to be done is to rotate the shaft 90 decrees either way so that the oblong hole is facing north to south. That it, the replacement gear knob then slots on and connects. Job done.

I will post some image’s shortly

I'm confused with what was involved with this mod? Did you change the complete lever assembly or just the knob? I figured that the bit you had to rotate was to accommodate the shift lock being 90 degrees different on the golf to the t6? Do you have a thread about this "knob mod"? I'm sure it would be very popular! (Que @JOG....again!)
If your knob doesn’t touch the sides, you have more fundamental issues, eh?!!

(Gotta love a knob gag! Oooh, err!!!)

I’ve finally sorted how it works and it’s cancelled the stop start for my T6.1.
I didn’t understand the instructions at first and I programmed all the info given but it did not cancel the stop start, but here goes I’ve tried to show how to programm it and when done every time you turn the ignition on the stop start cancel light comes on.

As soon as ignition is turned on you get this.

I hope you can understand what I’ve written.
Also all this is thanks to @dubber36 posting on another thread.

John.
Thank you @Rioja John. This info proved to be really useful today after I received my delivery from AliExpress with no instructions whatsoever!

You really should make your own thread that just relates to this mod. The information relating to it is scattered about all over the Forum.

As for the tree modes... I have no idea what "Memory Mode" or "Serving Mode" could be! The mode that you suggest is just perfect. It remembers the last selected mode and that is it! Goodness only knows what "Memory Mode could mean

They look lovely but unless it's the colour rendition of the photo, I don't think they're very 'British Racing Green'.

Visited @CRS Performance this morning to get the Koni shock and H&R spring package fitted to my 6.1. As everyone has said before, Steve was incredibly helpful and patient with me and my stupid questions. No hard sell from him about other bits I'm looking at and the work was completed in an hour, which was amazing. To say I'm happy is an understatement. The van drives so much better now. It is night and day difference to the OEM setup. No more wallowing around roundabouts and corners. Not the cheapest upgrade but worth every penny.

Can't recommend CRS Performance highly enough.
