What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

A jolly good bath…. Love this thing

Also, spent a few minutes removing the under tray to check for oil leaks as the approved used warranty runs out in December so would have got them sorted before going for the All In plan.

No need to worry as all bone dry under the sump, gearbox, rack etc - unlike my previous van which was a T6 140 DSG and that had a leak twice from between the gearbox and the engine - something to do with flywheel bolts and glue if I recall

Looks like somebody else has a Toyota IQ lurking on the path. Amazing turning circle!

‘Fixed’ the passenger side wing mirror wobble this afternoon. Whoever last took it apart or replaced it for whatever reason didn’t put any screw in the top two mirror mount holes???? Odd, broke a few clips getting it off, but nothing a bit of glueing them back on didn’t solve!

Also put a bit of silver trim on the dashboard, steel cup holder rings, 15mm spacers rear and alloy door pins the past 24hrs :)

Yup - we’ve owned it since 9 months old - was initially my wife's car but when she got a new one 18 months ago we just couldn’t let it go, so it now has an easy life and gets used for tip runs, the odd shopping trip and if we want to go somewhere too ‘dodgy’ to take the van or her car.

Zero road tax and only £200 fully comp plus annual MOT so costs virtually nothing to have on the drive. It has only done 23k.

We inherited my father in law's IQ and we couldn't let it go. Same here, easy life but used if parking is "too dodgy" or likely to be too tight for the T6 or the Kodiaq. Surprising how many admirers it gets. Paintwork needs a bit of sorting. My wife is thinking two tone as per a T2 - a mini Kombi!

Not today, but this week - fitted Heko wind deflectors, and some additional clips purchased from Amazon. No more than 5 minutes, whilst waiting to collect daughter from swim training.tempImagevLveCQ.pngtempImage4deLF5.png

(and no, I haven't pinched the residents permit sign in the footwell - just a reflection)

Blown the courtesy light circuit fuse after fiddling with the sliding door step bulb holder.
Trying to find the correct fuse to change is now a challenge, even after using @Loz ’s guide.
My glass back wasn’t meant to bend for access to the fuse board!
I will persist…

Well, after taking out all the 7.5amp fuses (and a few of the others just to check all was ok) and finding out that none had blown, I didn't know what to do next.
Came indoors, had a brew & did a bit of using the forum "search" function...

Read a few folk previously had this same issue and basically left it for 30 mins, turned on the ignition, turned off the ignition & all the interior lights magically come back on.
Tried this theory & guess what...
It worked!!
Hurrah & all lights now shining brightly
Mrs moomin-j called me a numpty  for not using the wealth of knowledge on here earlier.
