What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

I was going to get them powder-coated Bronze, but think they will chip too easily. I don't know if they can be anodised, or maybe wrapped. Might end up taking them off. Or getting black ones.

I know it needs dropping but THQ don't work Saturdays.

I'm happy with my choice of wheel and colour though. Think it really suits the blue.

Today has been silent coat day!

Tailgate, the sides in the rear, front doors and door cards done... Roof and floor tomorrow!

What bike rack is that?
Its our own diy version:) didn't want the hassle of taking wheels off. Basically it is two 'bought' bike stands that we have attached to a rail that is bolted to the floor at the front. Then when I was insulating/carpeting the interior I got some grab rails off fleabay that were the right diameter for the arms off the tow bar rack and then inserted rivet nuts into the metal work in the appropriate places so that the rails are fixed to the van through the ply lining, absolutely rock solid. Good thing is it can be removed in minutes. Blue stuff on the stand uprights is just pipe insulation to stop any damage to the wheel rims.

Put the VW caps and some bolt covers on my wheels.

The looked for the Team Amarok thread to join and couldn't find it.
Now I'm not happy with the calipers. Hmmm black or an brighter colour like yellow/orange/blue.

That looks a lot neater than my attempt this morning!
Ours is a SWB so it's front wheels out and a back seat tipped forward for them to fit...

If you put them on a 45 degree angle front wheel first with the seat folded forward you can get 2 in with both wheels on no problem on a swb

Not a chance with our bikes, trust me I've tried every combination possible :D

Really? I need to see a photo :)
I'll get one for you next week, the trick is to have the handle bar in front of the double seat, you have to lift it up and over, once you do that, loads of space! I bungee ours to the headrests in a V shape, doesn't move an inch and nice and quick to get out and put in!
