Banished the road salt. Was a nice full day outside washing ‘the fleet’, lol - A few hours of Buddhist zen time.
Her Cooper got done first (which was the first time in yonks - it was gopping) - full detail inside and out, tar spots removed, polished, paint waxed, the full monty - even metal polished the exhaust tip, dressed the tyres, hoovered the b’jeesus out of the inside and did the interior glass. I don’t mind doing the Mini, she’s had it for 5 years and only put 20k gentle miles on it. I’ve got half an eye on buying it off her when she gets around to changing it (at the trade price of course
). It’s a hoot to drive - peppy little 3 pot (which sounds great) with a manual ‘box. Ideal for those little journeys when you don’t want/need to use the van.
Then did mine - which hasn’t even been driven since I last washed it, but my flesh whistle of a neighbour 2 doors down had a bonfire last weekend, which left the van covered in ash. Bar steward.
Finished off with a couple of little jobs, tyre pressures, oil, coolant and washer fluid checks on both, and now have the van hooked up to the CTEK MXS 5.0 charger, just to recondition and re-juice the main battery.
So nowt major, just a little bit of TLC on both, but I’ve had a cracking day with a bit of much needed ‘me’ time, so thought I’d share. Time for a beer.
Roll on the clock change at the end of March!
