What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

grab handle “delete” on my A pillar - no photos as the Sugru is setting to hold the audiofrog tweeter in place.

Edited to add photo taken next day IMG_6186.jpeg

Oh yeh and additional mid row seat install on the last row of my shuttle. Mine came with the additional brackets installed and every 6.1 shuttle I’ve looked inside also has 6 brackets on the third row.

I’ll be having two extra brackets added to the drivers side so can have it set up as 2 + 2 + 2 with a gap in the middle for long things and to give complete flexibility to seating layout and passenger numbers. IMG_6165.jpeg

Are you recovering the a-pillars with new material? Have you filled the grab handle holes?

I removed my grab handles to run wiring behind the a-pillars and actually prefer the look without them there. Just planning to re-trim them with some new material to cover the holes.

I bought new ones with no holes.

Took the step and fitted rear quarter fake windows to the kombi.
Also had a full Ceramic coat , body , glass, wheels and leather treated inside.
Paid dividends already as drove 300 miles to Durham killing all flies on way.
They just wiped off with a microfiber and water from the screen.

Also fitted BMW spinners to the TSW wheels. took a bit of doing, custom globe stickers made then glues and sides painted.
Look great when driving.IMG_7923.jpgIMG_7924.jpgIMG_7925.jpgIMG_7926.jpg

Had the pleasure of the left rear abs sensor this morning. Rusted stuck but at least it didn’t snap off like the right rear :D I found removing the plastic cover from rear of the hub and a large bladed screwdriver assisted by a hammer and it came loose easily. Hope it may help someone else:thumbsup:IMG_4351.jpeg

Finally got round to fitting the puddle lights that @saxoboy supplied to me in November.
10 minutes to remove door cards.
30 minutes cutting out door cards.
30 minutes wiring in.
60+ minutes trying to refit the door cards
I was coming to the conclusion that the door cards were like a dead epileptic... Don't fit.
Just need it to go dark for pictures.

I have mine sitting in the garage waiting, I was worried about getting the cards back on. So they may now remain in the box :(

Patience and perseverance is key.
2 things I'm very short of.
Bite the the bullet, you'll be fine.

OK, good luck. Hopefully it fits better than mine. Just can't find anything strong enough to stick it down. If you look at the photo on their site it has lifted slightly.
Yes, the other bits sure are great and feel very OEM. Can't believe vw being so cheap with not making any and stiff just sliiding about.
I fitted it in the week and struggled to get the 3m tape to stick yet the next day in the sun it has stuck and so far stayed down. Work case is more 3m tape in the middle vot and a good degrease of the dashboard
