Hi how have you done this please? I've tried unscrewing the original ones but there's no movementChanged the door lock pins to VW Blue to match. Why....just another reason to throw some more money down the T6 money pit.

And he never offered it to me…!I bought the drab grey plastic cover off you.
John.
Glad the centre caps worked out, van looks mintLongest day = lots of time in the evening to muck about with the van Couple of quick and easy mods, and a few hours detailing. Heaven.
First off, I’ve had my Ovano Switch XL unit fitted for about 18 months now, and it’s been great (honestly, anyone with a Kombi should look into one - best money I’ve spent on the van). But recently it’s started creaking like hell. So, quick gander on their website, and they now sell side supports to limit the sideways movement. Apparently these are now included as standard on any new units they sell/fit, but you can buy and retro fit ‘em yourself. Easy as pie to fit, and it’s completely sorted the problem Like completely. Happy days.

Next up, I’ve always had a bit of a first world problem with my Leighton LV-1 alloys. Love the wheels, hate the centre caps they came with (weird green logo branding). Problem is, the caps are a weird size (68mm), and I’ve struggled to find decent quality replacements that’ll fit (I’ve previously bought and binned a couple of sets that weren’t up to scratch). Once again, this forum came up trumps though, and @click83 gave a solid recommendation for THESE (4 items VW 68mm / 62mm wheel center caps Volkswagen rim hub covers - TuningLinieTM) which fit perfectly and the quality is tip-top. They take about a week to come from Germany, but worth the wait. Fitting was simple, just drilled a small hole in the middle of the Leighton caps, hooked an Allen key in, and yanked ‘em out with a pair of pliers. Then just pushed the new ones in. Took less than 5 mins. Pics probably don’t do them justice, but much preferring the OEM+ look
As they came (forgot to take ‘before’ photos)…

Then, a ruddy good detail inside and out (quite happy with some nice reflections from the paint ). Bloody love long summer evenings…

I’m looking to do mine too but a little worried how well the film will cope with the heating element. Is your window heated and if so is the film ok over the elements? No bubbles or lines where the film can’t follow the ridge of the element? Thanks.Had the rear window tinted, from new it was a much lighter than the two side window. Really impressed with service from luke@ukautopro.co.uk Excellent job and highly recommend using him if any of you need window tinting and live in and around Hertfordshire.
Hi. Yes mine is heated. Luke, the guy that did the fitting, was very thorough and made it clear I wasn't to put the rear screen on for a couple weeks to allow the film to dry out completely on its own, That helps adhesion. Time will tell I guess but at a little over £100 its worth a shot and certainly looks good at the momentI’m looking to do mine too but a little worried how well the film will cope with the heating element. Received ours today from S+S. Quite awkward to fit with vamoose rail, wind deflectors and pop top all getting in the way. Needs the roof up to get close to going over both doors but then doesn't fasten properly around the mirrors.Test fitted my windscreen cover
Still needs adjustment
Why live with something get it changed ? Pointless having half way and not cheap at that there are plenty in the market that will mean no messingReceived ours today from S+S. Closer inspection of the S+S website photos reveals that they have demo'd it on a facelifted T5 with T6 front end and T5 mirrors. seems they are one of the lazy companies that didn't change their design between 5s and 6s

Might try to live with it, might return it.

Plus if it’s raining you wouldn’t want to be outside any longer than needed .
Must admit I had a rear barn cover from them and wasn’t that impressed by the quality stitching ect just my point of view.
Hmm , I didn’t think that far ahead , I just thought my fitment wasn’t great because of my wind deflectors and pop topReceived ours today from S+S. Yes!Love these! Are they Lego figures helmets?
There's obviously an old bloke under that helmet - you can see the hair growing out of one of his ears!Got to be done on a B&W van!. We did Blue Mandalorian helmets on ours. Still makes me smile every time I open it!
