What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Hi Berto, did you have the grills painted yourself or get a set from somewhere?

Got them from Vanstyle mate. Really pleased with the look and fit! Fitting was easy enough but you do need bumper off for the top grill.

Cheers Berto, just checking, was that the set for £294 code VB0742. Loving that look you’ve got.

That's the ones mate although didn't see them selling them as a package and ordered upper and lower grills separate. Think it came to same price though....
Shame they don't do the very lowest part of the bumper trims in gloss black but my plan is to do them myself at some point. The gloss grills really doadd something extra to the look of the front end.

Today.... we joined a club. The DPF club.

Didn't even know we had a diesel particulate filter but we do and the warning light came on.
Great excuse for a wee blast around the countryside (and a dual carriageway).
:D

Also.... thank goodness for this site and google as the DPF warning told us to check the manual.
Which won't be here for another 2 - 3 weeks because it isn't urgent. It is to us.

T32 springs fitted, kindly supplied :) by @Bear to level me up again instead of looking like a plane coming in to land. Gave me a 20-25mm boost at the rear end.

No dramas apart from the poxy McGuard wheels nuts. The nut part of them are made from butter- I've never rated them and I just could not get them off by hand, had to do it with the impact gun. They are going to get changed out asap!

I fitted my RIB bed, not a bad job, even lying on you back in the rain, oh and found zippy, much to the wife's annoyance .

The panel is a 110w VictronConnect I got it from Martyn at travelvolts it was the only one with the correct rating to connect to my ctek250 controller.

Can’t remember where I bought the roof bars but I just drilled 5 holes along the length and inserted some rivnuts, then drilled the panel and bolted them on.

Today I handed the van to a local respected sprayer for a lower half Mojave Beige respray over factory Candy White and handed him silver Panamericana bumper inserts for additional clear coat and fitting plus a tailgate spoiler. As a classic car sprayer (and VW bodyshop contractor) he's so happy to have a mint, undamaged, rust free, no welding needed, straight vehicle on which to practice his art for the next FIVE days....pics on Team Two Tone at the weekend....great flood permitting.

Liking the black Cantera’s... just how many sets of wheels have you gone through?!

Mmmm...... I latterly progressed onto 20” Amarok’s but currently am on Sportline 18’s. Not sure if it’s a nicer ride on the 18’s even though the width is the same.

What did you do with the Cantera’s?
