What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

You'll be fine on hook up with pretty much anything, I have a 2000 watt invertor off hook up which will cope with our cheapo Tassimo drawing 1500 watt max.
Cheers Wayne, mine is the same as the one in the screenshot write up below. Write up was from Oaktree Motorhomes.
1300 Watts!!

Cheers, will give it a go soon. Would it also work, not on hook up, but using leisure battery only? Or LB only but with the engine running?

Covered the interior panels in the matching suede I used on the halo roof. Looks a lot better now! Just need to make a cover board for under the seat and its nearly done. Then it's onto designing and building a small unit for where the sub is currently sitting! Also, excuse the messy van! Haha

The coffee machine pulls about 6% of my 200 Ah LB when it's done. 100Ah would be good, especially with bright skies!

Is it time we had a 'What coffee machine have you got in your van' thread, in the Pub section? There was a great exchange last year on one of the forum 'camp' Whatsapp group chats!

Agreed to an Up-plating on my T28 to 3100kg. They would go to 3200kg if I installed 'air' in the rear, I'll live without the extra 100kg I feel!
The folk at Van Weight Engineering are excellent. £276 Inc vat, well recommended!
Just followed the same route as @Drive Wayne with some great info from him. To ensure he keeps his position as the only T31 I have agreed an up-plate to a T31.5 to give me even more red wine carrying capacity and extra boasting rights!

Dee at Van Weight Engineering has been great and the process is simple with a few photos and copies of documents emailed to him. Let’s see if the interaction with DVLA is as simple! For anyone with a T28/30 this is a simple paperwork exercise to give you more carrying capacity.

Took my van in today for it's MOT, which it was failed for not having the correct headlight bulbs in my THQ V3 headlights, which were installed in 2019. Looks like I had a jobsworth technician carry out the MOT.
The MOT rules around LED/HID bulbs in non-LED/HID headlamps were tightened a couple of years ago so this is likely to become more common. Easy spot in a normal reflector headlamp but pretty unlucky to be picked up for it in a projector lamp IMO. Have you got HIDs with an obvious ballast visible behind the headlight unit?
