What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

New here - got the van a couple of weeks ago. Just fitted new wheels, 15mm spacers all round and swivel bases to both front seats. Headlights next month.
Just wondering, how much effect do these sort of mods have on the insurance?

Just wondering, how much effect do these sort of mods have on the insuranceit’s insured as having aftermarket wheels and bodykit already so nothing has changed really.
it was already insured as modified (wheels, body kit etc) so hasn’t impacted me.

The Beetle was originally called the the KdF-Wagen, the Kraft durch Freude Wagen or translated, the Strength Through Joy Car. Catchy.
Surprised Audi didn't adopt that as their marketing tagline.

Expensive week. Oil leak from crank shaft seal - new seal and new cam belt kit fitted, leak from power steering pump - pump replaced, EGR pipe blowing - replaced, top engine mount cracked - replaced. Then mechanic noticed splits on the inner side of one of the front tyres (see photos), so got two new tyres (Michelin Aglis Cross Climate) fitted. Planned to replace all four tyres with these anyway so now two of four done.

That’s pretty scary on a C rated tyre, what was the DOT code (age of the tyre) and were you running at VW recommended pressures?
