Just wondering, how much effect do these sort of mods have on the insurance?New here - got the van a couple of weeks ago. Just fitted new wheels, 15mm spacers all round and swivel bases to both front seats. Headlights next month.

it was already insured as modified (wheels, body kit etc) so hasn’t impacted me.Just wondering, how much effect do these sort of mods have on the insuranceit’s insured as having aftermarket wheels and bodykit already so nothing has changed really.
Just the ceramic coating or did you have the paint corrected/polished too?
The Beetle was originally called the the KdF-Wagen, the Kraft durch Freude Wagen or translated, the Strength Through Joy Car. Catchy.VW was founded by the Nazis and run by DAF, a Nazi trade union.
Full works 2 days pampered treatment - looks better than newJust the ceramic coating or did you have the paint corrected/polished too?
Surprised Audi didn't adopt that as their marketing tagline. The Beetle was originally called the the KdF-Wagen, the Kraft durch Freude Wagen or translated, the Strength Through Joy Car. Catchy.

Which swivel bases did you go for?
ohh you make them? or where you get them?Trial fit the midge nets. My OCD won’t be satisfied until they’re completely tight with the edges trimmed.

Thanks. Yes, he's a young lad. Been mobile for ten years and now got his own garage. VW Transporter specialist and comes very well recommended. For anyone in the West Manchester / North East Cheshire area he's here The Pitstop at Transporter Junction | Warrington@Steve Davies - Well done that mechanic - the consequences could have been very serious if you'd carried on using the van unaware of those splits!
That’s pretty good mate
That’s pretty scary on a C rated tyre, what was the DOT code (age of the tyre) and were you running at VW recommended pressures?Expensive week. Oil leak from crank shaft seal - new seal and new cam belt kit fitted, leak from power steering pump - pump replaced, EGR pipe blowing - replaced, top engine mount cracked - replaced. Then mechanic noticed splits on the inner side of one of the front tyres (see photos), so got two new tyres (Michelin Aglis Cross Climate) fitted. Planned to replace all four tyres with these anyway so now two of four done.

I also wondered how the tyres got like that. That’s pretty scary on a C rated tyre, what was the DOT code (age of the tyre) and were you running at VW recommended pressures?
Nice sticker! Paradigm shift to a new colour you could say!Picked up the Caravelle yesterday, much drama with my 180 T5.1 in part exchange. Nearly walked away but got there in the end.
Fitted multiflexboard and my standard Metalheadz sticker, this time in gold and red.
