What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Both if you don’t mind. I have plastic containers under there at the moment but what you’ve done looks very professional.

ok thank you you’ve not seen them close up but I’m happy with them :) ;-) I’m not sure how to do drawings on my iPad so I’ll take some pics with dimensions on them shortly

Ok guys here’s the double seat box I hope they make sense, I don’t know how to do drawings on my iPad so I’ve done this.Any questions feel free to ask.

I started with the base ,fixed the front and back on top of the base then the ends all glued and pinned with nail gun and clamped but pins would suffice. I added 1”square baton to the front sides and base screwed for extra strength. If you can understand these dimensions I’ll do the single seat box.Just an fyi I would check for fit before covering ;-) enjoy Padders

8-Core 4+64G Android13 CarPlay Radio GPS Sat Nav For VW TRANSPORTER T6 2016-2021 | eBay

It’s only a cheapy from eBay, but I am very impressed. I wanted something OEM looking.

The only gripe is the lack of volume knob, instead it has capacitive buttons, but it should retain steering wheel controls if you have a MFSW (I intend to retrofit one).

Works well, and I have a reverse camera with it. Microphone is a little iffy for calls, but I’m going to check whether that’s my fault with the install.
Thanks buddy.

Does this give you parking sensors visual?

Ok guys the two seater box has had thumbs up so I take it’s readable so here’s the single seat version. This one has to be put in place with the seat tilted forward as it won’t slide in from the front due to the cut out where the seat base sits in the slot and does not slide out.Any probs give me a shout :) As previous post check end pieces dims when side pieces have been fitted

Am I right in saying you don’t have the OEM rubber mat so the measurements for the height will be different?
Not at the moment mate it should be here from Germany any day but I’ve allowed for the mat in the height but check before you cover the boxes I’m sure they’ll be fine.Keep us updated how you get on

Can’t say too impressed Transporter HQ under seat sub and amp doesn’t fit with the plastic surround at the back of the seat! Would have been handy to know.. luckily had a spare and with some careful cutting and gluing a mesh on.. back to looking oem IMG_4651.jpeg

I use a product called Gyeon Wet Coat makes cleaning and maintaining a lot easier.
Thanks for this and car plan shout too.

I don’t know if I have cleaning routine nailed.

Tend to do wheels first. With the stuff that changes colour when cleaning

Then foam van let it sit

Then two bucket noodle mitten wash (used a wash and wax product)

Then rinse

Then dry with big towel things

Then apply and buff off (daniel San style) super resin compound (never used before)

And then sprayed some wheel protector there dressing stuff.

sure there are tweaks or wholesale changes I could make
