Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

My son and I had a great drive up the A1 to Berwick upon Tweed this afternoon, we're here for a week so any MTB trail recommendations are welcomed. Intending to visit Edinburgh at some point too...

I had a Tow Trust detachable tow bar fitted on Wednesday and the top of the tow ball is 385mm. My van has H&R ARBs, Bilstein B14 coils and sits very low. It's a rough ride normally but actually felt better with the weight of the caravan on the back end today.

However, there's not much room between the rear tyres and inner arches as well as a definite 'sag' on the whole set up. We did 170 miles on all road types and the DSG worked brilliantly, we initially felt a bit sea sick though, as the bounce on the back end felt a bit push and pull, hard to explain but it was a bit weird. Anyone else had this?

You could head along to Glentress. Some enjoyable forest trails and jump runs there. There's also a campsite there which we've used and it's not bad at all. A friend of mine has just told me about Kielder forest for MTBs. Never cycled round there myself but maybe worth some online research. Not too far from Berwick upon Tweed.

Defo Glentress spent many a Monday riding around the park After work at Knockhill all weekend. XC, DH and jump tracks.

Went to Widemouth Bay Friday for an evening surf session.Came off the water at 10 to 8 with mild hypothermia but it was worth it.

Me & Mrs Simmo, love seeing your adventures, always inspires us to get out and about and get in the sea for some surf adventures .I love the commitment, do you travel from Southampton each day or do you camp in your van?

Your video's are great by the way

My twin wheel caravan did the same when I towed it, when going over uneven roads it lifts or try to lift the back of the tow vehichle up. Also, your T6 looks low on the rear, how much nose weight you running on the caravan.?

Not sure about the nose weight, I bought a weight gauge but haven't used it yet! ;)

Nowhere to day but next weekend, Windsor Castle Friday then over to the gang @BognorMotors on Saturday morning for a brew and a quick suspension tweak and over to Portsmouth for a visit to the Royal Navy/ Mary Rose Museum and obviously a few sherbets . I've recently found Kopparberg mixed fruits :)
