Day trip to the west coast. Ayr beach looking out to Arran.
That looks terrible, how on earth are you managing to stay so positive in such terrible conditions. In Tarifa 2nd day.
Great weather, nice cycling looking forward to some off road tomorrow.
Even a strange boat for @richi parked up......View attachment 40416View attachment 40417View attachment 40418View attachment 40422 View attachment 40419

It’s tough but .....
My friend has Tx us saying Hail and rain in the south of England
It's not strange,I have got one
Epic racing ski, they are brilliant in relatively small surf and lightning on the water
There is a School in Tarifa that teaches downwind racing and surfing with them, hence it being one of my Summer stops I'm going to tell them I am a newbie
That one is a V7 ( I think they are plastic) mine is a V8 performance layup in composite
How bizarre. That’s where I am today and tomorrow. Already in the car park setting the boats up. Got my 29er in the back so going to try and get a few laps of the lake in, can’t decide on the 17 mile loop or go for the 24 including the peninsular.
Do the peninsular! How bizarre. That’s where I am today and tomorrow. Already in the car park setting the boats up. Got my 29er in the back so going to try and get a few laps of the lake in, can’t decide on the 17 mile loop or go for the 24 including the peninsular.
Lovely place, I think the peninsula is the most scenic and quieter, the pub sells a nice pint to. I went in Rutland cycles and almost got another bike !!! Lucky escape. How bizarre. I really don’t like the peninsular very much, don’t think the tracks are quite as good.Lovely place, I think the peninsula is the most scenic and quieter, the pub sells a nice pint to. I went in Rutland cycles and almost got another bike !!! Lucky escape.
Did you camp on the site in the centre island bit? Been thinking of heading there for a weekend of camping and biking around the lake
Sleep; that’s for sure. 2 miles from end flat back tyre .Good effort @DaveyB , I preferred it because the tracks weren't as good and a bit more challenging than the flat, youll sleep well tonight.
No we stayed in a hotel looking over the lake , I was scoping the area for camping though and a couple of nice sites at Lyndon, one of them had great views of the water but no facilities, another one was a caravan and camping site on the same lane that looked good.Did you camp on the site in the centre island bit?
