Oh I am thinking about getting a set of steel Wheeles with BFGoodrich tyres on.

I love them, we live in an area with very poor roads, almost tracks in some areas and the extra side wall makes for a much smoother ride. They are also great on proper tracks and fields. We stayed in a place at the end of a very steep, rough, stone track last week. My mates Mondeo really struggled on it but the van made it look easy. Only downside is that acceleration is affected due to the larger final gearing effect but I only notice that when overtaking.

I was in Positano recently for a wedding. I remember thinking Im glad I didnt have to drive a T6 around there, the roads were so narrow and I would estimate at least 90% of the cars had some bodywork damage.

I've done Positano in the van and it wasn't fun! I live just north of naples in a place called Lago Patria. Some of the cars you see on the road are unbelievably wrecked. I wouldn't drive them in a banger race let alone on public roads! We always have a celebratory beer after surviving a day out on the roads here!

Ordered yesterday and arrived an hour ago. Awesome service

What's the quality like? Do you need cab carpets for it to stick to?

It's quite light weight but plenty of storage. I have carpets so the prefitted velcro on the base makes it stick very well. Very useful storage on the top and when you slide the top back useful box storage underneath.

So I'm just over half way through this journey and and the van was covered in dirt, flys and all sorts and I couldn't cope any more so after a trip to Halfords I'm now a happy boy she's clean again.

Enjoy it for what it does. It accesses wonderful places and people. Shiny or dirty.
