Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Rode the UCI sportive in Harrogate. This was the start, where the pros will finish next weekend.
The closed road bit at the start was great. The rain after 23miles wasn't great though.
Stayed in the car park of a pub that was shut due to the road closures. Excellent.
Stayed in Masham last night for the cycling. Popped into Harrogate earlier today and set up camp at the finish line.
Pop top had a real test last night in the rain but not a drop made it in. Bath tub power:D

Sorry, don’t have a single map, Europe takes one map, Mongolia takes one map, Russia takes four maps. . . It’s hard to get your head around just how big Russia is, especially Siberia which goes from North to South. The first picture is where we slipped off the road and down an embankment into mud, immediately 3 guys in 4x4’s pulled up and threw us a tow rope and pulled us out, then just drove off, set the standard for helping others for the rest of the trip, one of the best things of the whole trip

a walk on the old railway track ... I don't know how many hotels give a room with this panorama ... ours is called Hotel California

You can tell Ann that she doesn't have to crouch down in the back any more.
Its not the Caravelle - you now have a pop top!!
I do it as well , soon get used to it. Quite good having the upper bed to myself

Hi Peatey
According to the guy the goat was for dinner ? He was one of a couple of bikes that stopped to ask if we were OK as we had parked up for the night, not uncommon to stop for strangers, we did it on a number of occasions, you only have each other to get you out of trouble.

I think this trip should have had its own thread - more photos would be good but I’m keen on detail?
- insurance?
- fuel?
- off grid on solar?
- any other interesting ‘admin’
