Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Looks great, very jealous.

How did you find the NC500? Busy?
Surprisingly quiet we thought for June, weather a bit crap though, we went round anti clockwise and travelled quite early in the day and seemed OK, although lots of passing places alond the smaller roads.
Lots of conversions about and mainly VWs . Excellent trip with great views and beach bays etc, water too cold for swimming though without a wetsuit. Highly recommend.

Wild camping gathering organised by comparethecampervan.com. Camping, cooking over flames, mountain biking, great company.

There’s a wee video here

I think that Crafter is looking a bit light on solar, sure they can fit another couple of panels :think smile bounce:

MacDonalds, Sedgemore Services on the M5 near Bridgewater, then MacDonalds Farm near Padstein, in sunny Cornhole.. totally different place and thanks to Northampton being 14C this morning guess who hasn't brought any shorts but did bring their 10 Tog quilt.. it was 10 degrees warmer here.

How's the toilet block looking? Was falling apart when we were there in May just after they opened so hate think how they've held up since.

All of that toilet area is looking pretty good and standing up well although there is a lock missing from one of the two mens showers but then that's what mild camping is all about.
At first all I saw in your post was "blocking" as there was an enormous mahogany chair leg blocking one of the cubicles on the first night but the SAS must have gone in at some point as it wasn't there later... I did try to flush the beast away but had had to run squealing from that cubicle as the water had simply risen.

Not today but yesterday we took a drive to Brean for a walk along the beach and then Brean Down. We parked in the NT car park and on our return to the van found this rather pretty goldie looking bronze Cali parked next to us (judging by decals, I think it was a hire from Campervantastic). The people turned up 20 minutes later and I was suitably impressed by their raising the roof at the press of a button (sorry for the rear end only shot as I didn't fancy climbing over the sea wall and rocks for a frontal view!). The car park was only about a quarter full when we arrived at about 1030ish but started getting busy soon after that. There was plenty of room on the beach though and it was lovely when the sun broke through the haze. The four VWs (all campers) in the car park all clustered together at one end!Brean2.jpgBrean 3.jpg

So glad I didn't bring shorts with me... yep, there's always some knobber wearing the wrong gear...

Metal Detectorists dream, they’ll be along to pick up your dropped change later.
As kids in the ‘60’s we made good money rummaging through the upper beach areas where the people with white, trousered legs hung out.

I like to think of myself as a kid in his 60s, admittedly one with a t**t tan, arms look like mahogany up to the T shirt sleeves and then Daz bluey white...
Just re read the white trouser bit and wondered if that covered cravat wearing people too... in my defence I don't lisp...

Good to see that you had all the correct gear on….all the others need educating!
@Stay Frosty, @JOG. To paraphrase an old saying, when you're in a crowd and you can't see the [in this case] knobber in the wrong gear, chances are it's you and it's time to look in the mirror!
