Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

@Ploots. Is it very busy there? We're near(ish) neighbours (Frampton on Severn) and often head down to Weston for a walk on the beach / sand / mud as it's so close but we have never ventured into Brean or Burnham. Might have to give it a go for a couple of nights in the van - what site(s) would you recommend?
It can get very busy theres parking on the beach /sand /mud and nice long walks to be had here aswell, we've always stopped on northam farm its a big site with shop, chippy, new bar now added and well stocked fishing lakes too

@Ploots. Thanks for that - we might just have a drive down there next week for a walk but will give the overnighting a swerve I think. Each to their own but it doesn't sound like our sort of place - being a bit older with no brats around, we prefer a bit of peace and quite on a campsite.

VW Van Centre, Trafford Park for (another) initial service.

Although no glowing reviews on the forum, they are only 30 mins walk from my work, rather than Liverpool which means 6 journeys over 2 days to fit in with work. I mean, surely even they can't mess up an oil change?

Added bonus, the car wash guy was off isolating :think smile bounce:

Anyway, the customer service before and after was very good, so will try them again next year for the big service.

Only thing to watch is that the service centre is not at the main showroom on Village Way, it's stuck down an estate about half a mile away.

@CAB Sorry to disappoint you, but they can. Mine was in there Wednesday 16th July. On the way down to Devon on Monday, whilst on the M5 I got a warning light on the dash telling me I had too much oil and "workshop". I spoke to the garage and they explained how the oil is added to the vehicle by a machine, the amount decided by the vans VRM. They said it obviously needed calibrating and that I should either attend a garage in Devon or call VW assist. The AA came out and he took 1 litre of oil from it. This took it to the maximum mark on the dipstick, so I guess it was overfilled by 20% or so by the machine.

No light on and 200 miles down, perhaps they practiced on yours first :think smile bounce:

Higher Rew campsite in Devon. Nice site, mainly caravans and motorhomes. Until our last day, when a peppermint green T6 and an old barn find original VW turned up, there were no VW campers at all. A couple of Renaults and Transits but that was it which was quite surprising. At one point, we were the only camper.

Nice place, with good walks up to the cliffs along the coastal path.
