Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Just got back from a few days in Pembrokshire nr Trefin at a site we have been going to for the last 10 years, it was busy but still magic.
St Davids was bonkers all the carparks full from 11 am .

Craig Tara Haven Site in Ayr for us this weekend. Not our ideal place to go really but we’ve come with some non caravanning/camping friends who are in Statics. The Touring part of the site is spot on mind and I've got a new Cadac to try and a fridge full of beer so i’m happy

Off to Blakemere in Cheshire tomorrow for a few nights tomorrow (to coincide with a Trackday at Oulton Park on Tuesday….)

Pretty sure everyone must have been to Cornwall today - one in ten vehicles seems to be a VW Camper.
Yep, Cornwall finally got a gold medal in something, highest Covid infection rate in England and Wales.....good old Newquay.

In fairness, it isn’t Cornwall’s fault but that of the tourists!

I love these beautiful pictures me: I went to Bedford town centre to buy new specs

But this weekend I am off to Rookesbury Park so I am looking forward to that. Never been before a new site for me

Needed to stay near Lydney and stopped here. If 6 metre spacing on a Club site is your thing this wouldn't be for you as you can see it's very much like an Aire. But a fascinating site, watching the wildlife taking over a post industrial area. Just be careful that you don't fall in or worse, drive off the old coal loading quay.

Looks a great place, where is it? Looks a bit tight to maneuver in with one of those big gin palaces!!

It’s Marina Base Camp, off the road to the old docks in Lydney.
There certainly were people sitting outside but fortunately not watching others fall in. Rather it was giving them close views of the healthy looking ducks, a pike in the water and sometimes a kingfisher although we didn’t see it. A different site!

Anyway, random madness.
Today driving over the Baelach na Bha from Applecross I stop in a passing place to let a cyclist come through who is riding up the steepest bit. Had the window down as we’d been taking pics so as the cyclist went past I said “well done mate, keep going”
He stopped and got off his bike and came over to the van and it was a mate of mine. How fooking mental is that?
