Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Our recent trip to Salisbury C&CC site. highly recommend this place and if you have dogs its perfect with all the fields and walks straight from the site. Found the best stretch of river for our dog just 20mins walk away which was just perfect (at end of video).

Friday, Windermere C&CC site.

(Note: nowhere near Windermere).

(Note to self: never go to another C&CC site on a summer weekend or school holiday).

(Note to observant readers: this site is in Cumbria. Which is most definitely not the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford.)

Saturday, Longsleddale

(Note: the more astute forumites will be aware that Longsleddale is the other side of the ridge from Kentmere, and is thus the perfect place to do one third of the Kentmere Round without having to grab a parking spot by sun up.

Oh, and also that it is also in Cumbria, and very much NOT in Old Trafford.)

Sunday, Whitbarrow Scar.

(Final note, promise! : Yes, the Whitbarrow Scar and Lord's Seat walk that Wainwright described as "beautiful it is every step of the way. ... All is fair to the eye on Whitbarrow."

Even @JOG will by now have deduced that this walk is also in Cumbria, and therefore is most definitely not a Front Row seat in the Lightning Stand at Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground.)

Monday, Stockport.

(I lied.)

(Predictive note: the van will be sat on my drive all day Monday.

And all day Monday I will not have been traveling to and from Firswood Metrolink, further from the cricket than Old Trafford Station (or Warwick Road as it used to be known) but quieter because it isn't on the direct line).

Tuesday, Stockport.

(Further predictive note: tricky business this predicting, however I am fairly certain the van will still be sat on my drive and that I will not be enjoying a bonus 5th day at the Test Match).

It is always gratifying when people recognise that I am geographically challenged! (So, you weren’t in London, right?!! I always thought Warwick Road was a Tube Station!)

Yep! Far too many cultural references at one go for me! It will take me a week to research them all. However, I do appreciate that you made allowances for an immigrant like me!!!

Lookers VWVC at Thornaby, Teeside for an 'Inspection Service', health check and Ad-blue top up....
Excellent service from the team at Lookers, talked over the all-in Service plan for next year and got it booked in for an email reminder to book the assessment check in March 2022.
Only minor concern is the Ad-blue is only showing 3500 miles so I don't know how much they put in as it previously was up at 6000 miles. Maybe it will settle up.
All FREE !!

@Oldrat it’s been very pleasant here today, the second picture looks like Crummock Water and the third possibly the Buttermere side of Honister Pass.
