Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Walk along the promenade in the glorious 7degreesC temps, full sun, blue skies, perfectly still.
Walked about 3 miles and then came back to the van for hot chocolate in the Velvetiser - using my recently made Kombi unit.

Living the dream

Oh yes, I think a Velvetiser is the new Ridge Monkey for us, goes everywhere, 2.5 minutes and you have a great hot chocolate to warm you up, highly recommended

Yes, we love the Velvetiser. Wasn’t so keen on the Hotel Chocolate hot chocolate sachets that came with it so we use Galaxy or Cadbury powders now (the one you mix with milk not hot water).

Worked perfectly powered by the EcoFlow. Used 4% battery making two drinks and had almost recharged the 4% by the time we got home.

As Mrs moomin-j is away having weekend fun "with the girls" at Skegness Butlins, it's time fat dad & skinny lad had the 1st night of an overnight camp for 2023 @ Camping at The Royal Oak - The Royal Oak - Peak District Country Pub, taking 2 bikes to ride the flat Tissington trail from Hurdlow to Ashbourne @ 15 and a bit miles each way.
A 600m old train tunnel just before you enter Ashbourne topped the ride off nicely
Arrived on site early Saturday AM & left late afternoon today, with no extra to pay for the 1 night £15 costs - the camp manager Chris couldn't be more friendly & accommodating.
The camping field is within a stones throw of this well known trail & has an award winning pub on site - what's not to like?
Advise to book a table at the pub, as it was really busy Sat night & saw a few folk being turned away who had not reserved a table.
Dog friendly & has a warming open fire.

A bit muddy on the grass, it makes me now wonder why I sold my winter set of wheels with M&S tyres!!

Will definitely be back again.

Good find that.....

Free parking at the Scarborough sea life centre until March if anyone is planning a visit, just don’t actually go in the sea life centre as it was £56 for a family of 4 and not that great. (Crap.)
