Set up for 4 nights at Whitemead in the Forest of Dean. Again I forgot to put the poptop cover on before putting the canopy up and I put this canopy up as it has sides, I forgot the sides. Upside is that the daughter has said she wants to try sleeping in the tent instead of the roof which if she doesn’t freeze will make life a lot easier!

I was thinking Ireland but with the dog passport and ferry it’s £500 before you set foot …..

No dog passport needed between UK and Ireland. (The thing I hate is how the dog smells of Jeyes Fluid after a stay in the ferry kennels!)

Yes, the second car park. The spaces up by the Golf Club were all taken. There were 2 other VW campers in here with us, including a California with a very nice firepit

Fox Inn at Newbourne. Great walk with the dogs and good pub for a drink and a snack when you’re done.

Two nights at Postern Hill campsite, North Wessex Downs with my lad. Done some exploring in the forest today and same again tomorrow.

Stayed at Bamburgh Touring caravan site, an ex-CL, tucked away in the countryside between Seahouses and Bamburgh. Real little gem, no frills but toilet and shower and friendly owners.

Round trip of 450 miles from Chester to Newton Abbot. Floyd didn’t miss a beat.

Averaged 33 mpg also.

Ha, yes......!
The actual toilet and shower etc are in the farmhouse porch. We were woken by 2 lamps and their mum who escaped and a cow chorus warning everyone.
