Just returned from the France trip, we all had a great time, granddaughter loved the whole Disneyland experience.
Broke the journey on the way down at Dobbs Weir camp site in Hertfordshire, was very nice.
Then through the tunnel and onto Flower Camping at Jablines. Not like the UK camp sites, no keeping a distance between pitches, very muddy grass and few footpaths. We met a french family while there who have been campervanning for years and they were of the opinion that this was the worst site in France they had ever been to. The one good thing about the site was the bus service from the gate to Disney which saved us from driving there and back each day. Slightly annoyed that their insistence to get a continental EHU adaptor was all lies as they had the standard sockets as used over here.
For our final Disney day we left the campsite and drove to the huge Disney car park, as we wanted to let our granddaughter stay up late for the fireworks. They permit overnight parking for campers.
Following day we headed back to the tunnel and once through stopped at Daleacres C&MC site, Hythe. Very nice, with top quality showers etc.
Then spent 8 hours the next day driving back home. Lots of roadworks, delays, at one point being pulled to a halt on the M1 while a vehicle fire was dealt with ahead. Eventually granddaughter was delivered safely back to her mum and we went home and needed an early night. Today we emptied everything out of the van then retrieved the cat from her cattery holiday, she hasn't stopped moaning at us yet ...
Just got the van cleaning inside and out to do tomorrow, we have an amazing insect collection all over the front.
