Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I did the 100 mile round trip to the VW Van Centre Swindon service department (they moved location location a couple of months ago) to get my Ad Blue issues sorted with a software update. The new place is a mile or so towards the town centre from the old one and although we got parked OK, we might just have got lucky as there didn't seem to be much space available. It doesn't help that the same place serves 4 different Fish Brothers franchises all with their own demands for parking.

Dealerships never have enough parking. I know that any planned space is quickly filled but it always surprises me that they can never get this right. The parking is essentially the warehouse for their goods so it’s like Amazon having parcels piled up outside the building and on the surrounding streets!

Now I've quoted myself off topic and today we're up at Yarmouth which is a bit different to the last time we were here in 1980, been here two hours and back at the camper now I reckon that should be enough!

A trip to the National Trust - Langdon Cliffs Dover. I sat up on the cliffs and monitored the Coastguard and shipping transmissions while tracking the traffic through the English Channel on 'Vessel Finder'. Also had the amateur radios tuned in to DMR and Dstar world wide transmissions via Openspot's. Both vans are equipped with router and internet so full computer use is available. A nice day!

Now sat on the sun loungers 80km south of Salamanca in Spain heading back to the UK after 3 months in the van. 24 degrees and gorgeous.
