Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

How busy is the NC500 at the moment? We’re looking to do it next year. Following the general advice of go early or later in the season and avoid the crowds of midges and people and vans we’ve not yet decided whether to take a few weeks off April/May or September/October. 🤔😃
It's just right for us - reasonably quiet and no midges! We have just come onto Skye and much more traffic here although I now understand that the kiddiwinks have two weeks off before easter this year so people holidaying earlier perhaps with the good weather

Yes. If we go early on we’ll plan to avoid school holidays. We’ll have to be careful to check both Scottish and English school holidays as they are often different (or at least the summer holidays are).

I’m up Glen Clova today.
I’m at the side of the south esk on fishing club water.
The lack of rain for a while now means the river is too low to have any salmon in it yet.

Is that Gella Bridge your at??

We've had a peaceful night over at the other car park not too long ago. Not far to go, but far enough to be away from the rest of the world

Yes Kevin.
We were over the other side from the car park.
I’m up there a lot every year fishing.
It’s my Kirriemuir fishing club water.
I can fish from Gella bridge down to Cortachy and I can fish the Rottal estate water above the bridge for a few miles.
It’s lovely up there and 40 mins from my house.
