Which Swivel seats to pick

Had my Rib seats fitted today. The offset swivel is great on the passenger side, the drivers side non offset is a bit of a faff but as I don't intend to use it often so it's ok. Very new so not noticed any real movement or squeaks yet. So far so good.

I want to fit a swivel to a single passenger seat on my van when I get one which will hopefully be sooner rather than later. It will be a comfort seat, the passenger seat won't be fitted with a swivel. Which swivel would be the best to get?

Will the passenger seat swivel without having to swivel the drivers? That's my concern after reading the above, although I may well have misinterpreted

I got Exploria ones and very happy with quality, no rattles or rocking at all

Exploria did our conversion, using their swivel bases. We like. Height adjustability has been maintained too. Other than having to have the hand-brake off when the drivers one is turned, no issues, and simple to turn once you've remembered to pull it forward a bit first.

We need to get a swival base quite quickly based on an experiance earlier today. I understand the off set but not really sure I understand the advance. Does this mean you don't need to slide the seat about before rotation?

So our set up is fixed middle kombi with two front captains seats. We need to be able to spin round to get to our twins and little girl (who now sits in the middle, with a twin either side) so leg room is only needed from our side. What kind of leg room can we expect?

Sorry if this has been mentioned but the hand break mod, is this only needed for the seat to clear during rotation or during rotation and the 180' position? I mean if you're parked on the flat which is generally the case can't you just release the break for rotation then reapply? I want to avoid raising the seat too much as my wife who drives the van the most has trouble reaching the h/break already but also want hassle free bolt straight in option

Edit: Was typing this late last night and after posting saw another thread! D'oh!

Fitted a sports craft swivel today to the passenger seat. Done in more or less 30mins and it works a treat. Just have to mod the cover plate on the back of the seat base now.

Hi all

I currently have a single passengers seat and was looking to get myself a swivel seat base, looking online there are a few to choose from all about the same price, but which is best? Rib, Sportcraft, Kiravans to name a few.

I have been told the Rib base is good and you don't get too much rocking from it, does anyone have one of these?

Had Kiravans on both front seats of my T5, spot on with no rocking.

Have QR on 2nd row mate, distance of about 200mm with 2nd row in. (isn't alot) at all, but I also have the seats/bed in rear..

To add to this I have been looking to get the 2nd row to swival too.. giving me more options..
Hi Fish, I have a Kombi SWB and I’m looking to put a rock n roll behind the second row, is this what you’ve done? Just wondering how much space there will be Thanks

I'm intending to fit seat swivels to my two front captains seats. They need to be approved and tested. I'm told Sportscraft and Scopema. Who has experience of each and what are thoughts on quality and price? TIA.

I’ve got the Kiravans offset swivel on my passenger seat, which I believe is manufactured by scopema. It’s a good solid fit, neat little red handle on the side, and does what it is supposed to.

It means that the pivot is not in the centre, it is slightly towards the centre of the cabin. This means that once the chair has been turned it moves away from the door by a couple of inches.

Thanks. I just read that on the Kiravans site. It's a shame they are out of stock, they sound easier than the Sportscraft ones. Anyone know of where I can get a pair at a decent price?

Kiravans get stock and then are sold out within a week or two.
Worth watching their site and just keep watching for them to land.
