Wind deflectors... which ones?

I have the genuine VW ones according to the packaging. They are stick on.
They allow for the window to be slightly open for ventilation but still allow rain to run straight off the roof inside the van if the window is fully opened.
The self adhesive has held up on one side but the other side has let go on the leading edge near the mirror, currently fixed with a smear of contact adhesive.

I’ve never seen a clip in deflector so I can’t compare. All I will say is if you fit self adhesive ones make sure the surfaces are very clean (remove wax) and use clamps on the leading edge near the mirror to ensure good compression.

I have a pair of Hekos on my desk that I’ve taken off my van. I can’t get on with them, increased wind noise & decreased visibility. You can have them for a tenner plus postage or pick up from S70

Yes I have them on my t5 ,they seem to slowly come away but I push em back in every now and again but they never fall out

I have the Heko ones, also had them on my T5, and have never had any problems with them coming loose after 10s of thousands of miles. I suspect it’s down to how they’re fitted in the first place. I’ve never used the clips and just rely on the sticky tape attached and I make sure that I clean the surfaces with ipa and make sure that they don’t foul the window channel and rub as that could work them loose.

My Heko ones came loose on the drivers side and i noticed that the sticky tape had failed, so i took the deflector off tweaked the clips and refitted, i then found out i hadn't had the clips positioned properly in the first place, because it fitted a lot better, so did the opposite side and now its all good

Exactly the same, drivers side kept coming loose, probably because it's used more.
Bought some extra clips of eBay,no problems since.
