Wind deflectors... which ones?

Haha good spot @Roadrunner had them fitted at the dealers so I can't really comment they only stick on with what looks like 3M tape, so a keen eye and steady hand you should be good to go :)

Yeah they are easy to fit, the tape comes pre applied to the back of the deflectors ready to peel and stick and is packaged with a solvent wipe to clean the surface before sticking

Do the other aftermarket deflectors penetrate that important bottom seal at all?
Heko deflectors do not penetrate bottom seal, they stop above it. Also do not have to be screwed into trim. Held in place internally, very firmly, with couple of clips and sticky tape. Recommended.

My Heko just arrived. Can't seem to get them to fit. Did a dry fit first, but windows won't go up. Started at the mirror end as per pictorial no text guide on the plastic bag.

Mine came with two little metal clips per side that keep the deflector flush with the outer seal and allows the window to go up unhindered...

Came in a little Ziploc bag in a extra bit on one of the packaging bags for the deflectors, make sure you haven't chucked them by accident!

what are the best looking and most stream lined wind deflectors for a t6. any pics and experiences with them??

Heko here mate, nice.. Cheaper than climair and have metal retainer clips in window channel.. They don't require the bottom screw on clip of the climair either..

Based on experience I would go for the genuine stick on VW supplied items... have tried cheap, add some dust & grit and they sound nasty and they do eventually score the glass.
Mine came with VW deflectors as part of the deal. Then spent a hole afternoon taking them off and throwing them away. They work fine, but look absolutely shocking:cry::eek: imo. Was particularly bad on my Vel, because the black contrast line became stepped.
The climair is much better (below); than the VW (above)

Those genuine VW stick on ones look horrendous in my opinion, saw a T6 a couple of weeks ago with them fitted, looked awful. I have the Dublecta Retro, fits well and looks good.

Another point against them...

Several years down the line, when the glue has had a chance to bake on... One cracks and needs replacement, will be a bitch to do without damaging the paint..

Channel mounted, slip out and slip replacement in.. No problems...

Case made!
