Hi all,
So I bought my t6 last month, from a dealer in Essex.
On the way home the coolant light came on. Topped it up and it happened again a week later.
I’ve just had a Vw specialist look at it and this is his diagnosis
“Removed front EGR connecting pipe and visually inspected with...

Upon mooching around with a bore scope I’ve found oily discharge from the front EGRpipe where it goes back into the inlet (this was changed about 3 years ago). And the EGR temp sensor 2 looks to me although hard to see like it has...
...but no error , i saw something strange, i have no boost on intercooler pipes, when i accelerate there is no pressure.
engine dont stop if i block egrpipe.
i send turbos to a professional turbo garage (no issues).
what can be issue on that ?
someone said that Nr.18 can be issue . can be ?
Hi, I had the insufficient flow fault on my 102 T6 a few years ago. I thought fair enough 50k on the clock. Not overly pleased but was expecting it at some point and so had the EGR valve and cooler replaced using OEM parts.
What's really annoying is that after only two years and 14k it's...
I need a new rear EGRpipe for my 2017 t6 102hp as the present one has developed the common problem, crack in the corrugated section. Genuine VW part is £160 ! was £40 4 years ago ! It's now modified to be stronger.
Question is do I get genuine VW pipe or an eBay one which is £40 ?
In theory I...

Quick look under the bonet and I found this!! Hoping its a case of just needing a new piece of egrpipe! currently waiting for RAC but not sure what they will be able to do!
Hi,
I just removed the corrugated pipe leaving the egr valve. It had water laying in it, enough to completely soak a sheet of kitchen role.
It wasn't pink like my coolant, which is strange. It seemed to be too much for condensate.
Should the egr valve be dry and sooty at all times?
...hard to be certain. The van had an EGR insufficient flow error code so I assumed it might be linked to this, having done some research. The EGRpipe was partially blocked and the cooler was also fairly clogged, so I opted for an EGR delete (blocked off pipe) and got it coded out.
However the...
Well, it's EGR time again!
I bought the van nearly 5 years ago at ~99000 miles. I'm sure I saw a receipt for a new EGR' in the paperwork but I can't find it now. Either way, the date of manufacture of the old (aftermarket) EGR is 2018 and the van (Euro 5, 140) was registered in January 2016...
...to the top of the turbo all seem fine
Had pipes off down to the top of the intake they seem dirty but not as bad as some I’ve seen.
Front egrpipe been off seems totally fine.
The rear egrpipe is fine was updated a couple of year ago for the improved version.
I’m running out of time...
You would need to remove the EGR and buying a blanking kit for the pipes. Then get it mapped out of ecu.
When my EGR in my trusty works van went for the 3rd time I bit the bullet and had it removed and mapped out.
Vans been great since
Somehow I missed that earlier! I’m almost 100% sure that the new EGR won’t be clogged at 7K miles, IF they renewed it.
Another possibility is that the pipes are fouled with carbon, there are different types of EGR used in Transporters, VW modified some pipes so that they don’t block with carbon...
