    Ignition live for 500w inverter?

As a rough rule of thumb with inverters divide the watts you will use at 240v and that will be the amps used at 12v A normal cigarette lighter style socket should only be used to draw 8 amps continuously for something like your charger situation otherwise they overheat. Given efficiency losses...

    Thinkware vs Blackvue

My next decision is which A pillar to bring the power cable down. In the left passenger side I have my alpine microphone cable and in the drivers side it’s clear until I get to the dab cable from the wing mirror antenna. Both I feel may be affected by the power cable but the dab is weak enough...

    Renogy 200W Flexi-Panel Install

Here you go. I used a Scanstrut glad, a fantastic piece of kit and worth every penny. Cables routed through the main cable gaiter too left of the tailgate. If I did it again I would probably route inside the tent or take the cables in down by the rear light.

    Thinkware vs Blackvue

I think I have decided yo go for the front only option as the cable route to the rear is too daunting, especially as I have a rear vanshade pod on the tailgate which will make mounting the camera difficult. Prices appear similar although amazon might just pip it if you have prime and get the...

    T6.1 engine bay cable routing

My van already has a cable in place as it had an inverter fitted. Tracing the cable tonight and it seems to go via the inner wing. I reckon if i take the headlight out it would be easy enough to route another cable that way for EHU. Has anyone else gone that route?

    Dellmassive`s Camper Van Adventure

Haha, I just looked again. The pic with you, glasses on top of head and blue 3 core in the background is flipped. Thats where I thought the mains sockets on passenger side. Thats certainly some chunky cable for the inverter. Whats the route going to be to get to the battery? I didn't think...

Show us your 3D printed modifications

I removed the original cup holder on the drivers side dash and reprinted it as a phone holder. I bought a phone USB Dock Station and took out the cable. The cable mounts into the bottom of the new 3D part. The USB plugs into the dash socket, removed and routed under the dash. So now I can drop...

    GUIDE MFSW Steering Wheel Upgrade

STEP 1 - PICK THE WHEEL I went with Steven at sscustomworks He does a huge range of customisation. I picked an all black with leather and alcantara. The wheel was £280 and controls £150. I re-used my own airbag/horn. I got a few free looms and used the white platic cable routing, but more on...

    TallPaul's Caravelle - MTB wagon!

With great difficulty!! This pic maybe shows it the best The terminals on the inverter are right angle ones, the cables then loop from there along the outside back under the inverter mounting bracket, which has various holes in it - they then loop back again and enter the seat base at the...

    TallPaul's Caravelle - MTB wagon!

How did you route your cables behind the inverter? I don't seem to have enough space between the rear corner of the battery and the side of the base to safely get the cables through. Simon

    Photos Of Under Side

There are a series of bungs along the sill of my LWB, including one that comes up in front of the C pillar. There is a gap behind the C pillar to bring it up, which is the route I took for water and waste on mine. I needed a helper poking a cable through underneath whilst I tried to fish it out...

Drilling a hole in fibreglass for a solar panel question.

Load of different ways really. I wanted as low profile as possible (so didn't use a gland). I drilled and just used black silicone on top and underneath. Where I when through the roof it's at the back so not inside the poptop canvas (cables route through the OEM hole above the door seal...

Off-side cable routing from drivers seat base to back quarter panel - help please

When I did mine, I did run some cables from passenger side to rear to EXACTLY the location you want, for a light switch for my site/day van. But..... I've also fed cables from drivers side to the roof so I do know the route. (Pics below to help). Apologies in advance if some of this you know or...

Off-side cable routing from drivers seat base to back quarter panel - help please

I need to get cables from under drivers seat to the o/s rear quarter area - the upper half between C and D pillars. I can get to the bottom half from the O/S passenger panel then via the C pillar. There is then no route up into the upper area I need. Do I have to go right the way back, into...
