Getting the spot line springs fitted so -30mm as a temporary solution until I can get something better

after reading multiple threads on the forum I found one wise comment that said 19 was a good compromise between looks and practicality

Any advice on what would be the best size wheels to put on a T5.1? Its been lowered but not sure by how much? It has blue coil springs on the front (40 or 50mm lowered?)and at present has 22 inch wheels on which are too big and came with the van.
The ride with the 22" is crap and it's about 5mph over when you hit 50mph!!
Any advice would be appreciated. Also a sign post to the best place to purchase? In North essex.
Many thanks

Sounds like you may have H&R springs on. 20” wheels should fit with 275/40/20 tyres. That being said, 18” wheels may be the way forward if you want extra comfort. It’s a personal choice.

I plumped for 19” this time. Hopefully a happy balance.

BTW the signpost looks a little bit iffy towards the base as well :)

Erm .... I was hoping I wasn’t going to potentially be the first one to spot it :)

Sign of a mispent youth, drawing rude things on the back of buses??

I only tried to draw a bit of grass around a sign. Apologies for my poor drawing skills.

I also tried to think of elf & safety, as the Tyre Shop employee is wearing toe caps.

There’s quite a few online retailers that sell a good choice of wheel and tyre packages. I’m sure people have different opinions of them but some ideas to start you off are wheelbase, rimstyle, lkperformance, tamar wheels, bmautosport etc etc oh and check on willtheyfit fit sizing calcs.

I went for 19s from rimstyle, a good compromise between 18s and 20s. Somewhere between the two :geek: Best of both worlds:thumbsup:

Thanks all for the advice, just love this forum, starts out talking about wheels and ends in sex shops, not quite sure how we got to that and more worryingly the cost of the toys found in it

We sell all wheels and tyres packages, with direct delivery. All correctly weight rated with the correct size tyre for your load rating. Happy to quote.
18’s will be more comfortable.
20’s fill the arches better

19's offer a good compromise but not so popular, wheels and tyres can be a pain generally if you're in a T32?

Much of it is personal choice, good luck in your search!

Do you have a picture of your T5? I don't think i've seen a Transporter on 22's and intrigued to see just how strange they look.
