I'm finishing this coffee and going outside to check, you've spooked me now because I run B14's and around 50psi in the tyres

Barely worn on my rears, couldn't get on my hands and knees as it just started lashing down, but I can get my fingers in deep treads all across both rears and the outside edges look fine.

Is 102 not a tad under rated for a T32?

I'm a bit confused really, 102 tyres (rated to 850kg) x 4 = 3400kg, so my T32 gvw is 3200kg, doesn't that take it just under?

My wheels are definitely rated to 860kg a corner, no issues there.

It’s the actual axle load ratings that matter and your axle ratings will add up to greater than the total GVW. Your axle rating is probably something like 1720kg.

It's based on half the axle loading.
T32 axles are 1710kg and 1720kg, so 855kg front and 860kg rear.

That's why VW fit 255/45-18 103 to T32.

I've emailed ABT to confirm, if my converter has fitted incorrectly load rated wheels/tyres then they are in for a world of pain.

I'm sure you won't but don't let them fob you off.

I suspect if they are wrong he'll go down the route of saying 'well those are the wheels you asked for, I only fitted what you wanted'. But as the self proclaimed conversion experts you'd expect them to know the fecking difference between 102 and 103 rated tyres.

I was told by the converter you can't buy the ABT DR19 wheels naked anymore, they come with tyres, so that may be his other get out clause. Blame ABT and claim he didn't realise.

That's encouraging to hear about the Nexen's, I'm down to see Oli at Bognor Motors to have B14'S and ARB's fitted next week to improve the ride (currently on 50mm H&R springs) so glad to know I should be good on wear on the Nexen's!
How have you found the 50mm springs?
I guess not so good if your changing to b14s

Hi
They are not too bad... however I have a full camper conversion and sometimes carry 4 bikes and a couple of paddle boards. I felt the 50mm springs on the original shocks were very compressed causing a harsh ride and a bit down on the bump stops.

The ride on B14 is much more refined and a more controlled suspension rather than crashing on the bump stops when fully loaded.

Probably should have gone for B14'S in the first place....
