Vw fit vanco continentals to new vans.,

I got about 10k out of them, less on the front. They nice and grippy but soft, so wear down quicker.

I just go cheap and get budget ones now as I smash through the tyres with it being a work van... the fancy tyres look Awsome but I can't justify the cost. And the budget ones have been fine.... gone through about 12 sets of various cheapies.

They are called Menerva Frostrack, part of the Continental group.

Only a cheaper end of the tyre range, but came highly recommended by my tyre shop.
Out of every brand of tyre I've used, these things are the most impressive for some reason. The winter qualities are exceptional, but it's the all round grip, and comfort I rate them for.
I'd like to run them through the summer, but they are very soft compounds and a very obvious winter tyre visually.

This is why I'm ditching my current summers, in search of something that's as good as these winters, but for summer use.

If the VW oe conti’s are only good for 10k I’m sticking with my cheapies too!

I’m still looking to get a set of ‘ports to use all season tyres next winter, being a soft southerner they should be fine.

A set of 18 inch Mozzo Sports is on order, the same tyre that I had on my 19’s

I run 255/45/19s
I've ran Eagle F1s and Continental Sport 6, both ultra grippy with my suspension setup, both got around 10k per set once I worked out the best pressure, which I think is slightly different for each set up.

I did run Nexen SU1 and although they didn't have the overall grip of the premium brands, they did do far more miles.
Currently running full winters and to be honest it's going to take quite a tyre to top these winters.
Sounds interesting; Which winters & size are you currently running?

Minerva Frostrack. 255/45/19 104

I got to test them in full snow in the Cotswolds a few weeks ago, and they left a couple of 4x4 drivers stuck at the bottom of a steep hill.
They are quiet, very comfortable and the grip is exceptional in cold wet conditions.

Well my wheels like every on else have sucumb to the dreaded wheel worm so I phoned Listers Droitwitch up to ask about getting them changed. Afer a couple of weeks I was told that VW did not exchange them any more and have tol dthe dealers to get them referbished. So lookes like that is what is goin tto happen to mine though I did ask for them to be sprayed all Anthracite so they are not diamond cut. The back are the worst an dthe front hav egot a few marks on them but are starting to go. Nice as they look they are not the best wheel sto get.

I used mine all year round the road salt killed them :(

This is a real shame as I really like these wheels, I think they look spot on with Acapulco blue vans, my plan would be to run from April to November with winter shod wheels going on for the winter do you think that prevent the issue?

My pal had same issue with his ZX 10 wheels you could almost see them dissolving in the winter salt!

Don’t think so mate the lacquer is shocking on them.
