A little wave makes you feel good.

Went for our first proper 'family' outing yesterday and within 11 miles from home we got our first wave. Boofhead was annoying me so much with his 'talking' that although I saw the white VW coming towards me I did not register the wave but when my co-driver pointed it out with glee - I then felt like I had let that kind person down. So we then commenced an experiment for the next 40 miles and decided to only wave at VW campers. None replied. My co-driver has a Fiat 500 so her experiment of waving furiously at Fiat 500 drivers also didn't seem to work.
So to the man in the white VW camper - I am still new to this phenomenon.
always a nice feeling when somebody waves back, no matter how many don't:waving:

I put a little blue garland up to let people know I’m DTW (Down To Wave). It’s always been pretty hit & miss whether said wave is reciprocated.

The knowing wave of acknowledgment between two people who each made solid choices when it came to purchasing a vehicle is a wonderful thing.

Equally, the feeling of rejection when it’s not, is bloody brutal.

Hope you get a flat

My waves have had more ignores than waves back! But some of the return waves have been massive thumbs up and smiles! I will keep waving!!!
If you’re near Andover, we’ve probably waved at each other by now. I’m only over in Tidworth.

I think all of us recognise that sometimes you are paying attention to something whilst driving and can miss the wave. I’ll always wave or acknowledge but sometimes that moron in front is taking all your attention or that person who looks like they may pull out…etc.

Oh if u get a random wave from someone on a red motorcycle…hi

Got a light flash and a wave on the A1 today whilst I was heading back from Harrogate. Always awesome when you get a wave. I will keep on waving to the fellow VW tribe. Agree that sometimes you may miss due to concentrating on other things, don’t let that dishearten you though!!!!
I’ve even felt daft waving at commercial vans as I’ve just seen the badge and automatically waved ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A bit late now, but I was on my way from CRS back to motorway last Saturday when a guy waved in his van, took me by surprise!, first one!
I would like to say we are friendly round our parts, but on the whole no. Miserable Midlanders! I'll keep on waving and be snubbed...
