So there’s more than one model of Startline cluster? I’ve not come across that before. One can be coded so big digital MPH shows other can’t

What is also concerning is that any potential new owner might be left with the mess, inconvenience and expense of rectifying the misdemeanour. I have no idea if any removal or deletion might be criminal offence or not but it would be unjust if the onus was passed on to a new owner to prove innocence. If the seller knows the Adblue is mapped out and fails to mention it, or else misrepresents the truth when asked, that would be a criminal act of fraud.
But then it's likely that if they were honest and did mention it 95% of buyers would regard it as a plus point.
Personally I would not go near one. Not because I've any ideological objections to an adblue delete (I don't), but its a sign that someone couldn't afford to maintain or repair the vehicle properly so where else might they have taken a shortcut in the name of saving pennies?
I did actually have a car with it but that came my way via an elderley relative as a freebie so such concerns weren't pertinent.
Apparently, I helped a member on here with advice on fitting a MFSW and when he was getting it coded In I mentioned getting the big digital MPH done at the same time.So there’s more than one model of Startline cluster? I’ve not come across that before.
This is what I’ve come to think also.I wonder if it only displays when it gets down to 1500 miles & comes up as a warning rather than a selectable display.
That’s what my van does - 2017 Startline. It states number of miles (can’t recall exact number - possibly 1500) and an amount of Adblue required.I wonder if it only displays when it gets down to 1500 miles & comes up as a warning rather than a selectable display.
The one at the top with the physical fuel level dial is what I thought was termed Highline clocks. The lower one is what I had on my Startline and I can confirm big mph not possible. One has the digital petrol gauge the other has the separate wee dial
Nope it’s the top one I got on my startline T6.The one at the top with the physical fuel level dial is what I thought was termed Highline clocks. The lower one is what I had on my Startline and I can confirm big mph not possible.
So you don’t see anything about the ad blue on the mfd until it drops to 1500 miles left? That’s what my van does - 2017 Startline. It states number of miles (can’t recall exact number - possibly 1500) and an amount of Adblue required.
Can’t see anything about Adblue on the display other than that (I’ve a MFSW fitted)
CorrectSo you don’t see anything about the ad blue on the mfd until it drops to 1500 miles left?
Then a prompt pops up on the mfd?
Spot on thanksCorrect
Like I said can’t recall the exact miles when the message appears but could well be 1500, along with a figure for amount of adblue. It’s happened twice since I’ve had the van in about 8000 miles.
If I scroll through the mfd I can’t find any other reference to adblue other than when that message pops up with the warning light
Mine’s a very early T6 Startline that does share some parts with the 5.1.Nope it’s the top one I got on my startline T6.
I notice the bottom one is the exact same as the cluster in my T5.1 works van. Also a startline
It’s @Tanstalf on here who has had problems with the earlier cluster and activating ccs.Mine’s a very early T6 Startline that does share some parts with the 5.1.
Interesting.
I activated cruise control, yes. I’m learning more by the day here cos I didn’t think there were any 2017 EUR5s either! It’s @Tanstalf on here who has had problems with the earlier cluster and activating ccs.
But his is a 2017 and I think it’s EURO5.
Mines is 2018 EURO6 with the later cluster.
I had no problem activating ccs and getting the big digital MPH.
Have you activated ccs on your EURO5 ?
Found it. From the looks of it @Tanstalf is taking the harder route of CCS on the wheel with a EUR5. Mine’s on the stalks. Is there a thread about @Tanstalf’s issue?
Was it still taking a cable into the bottom black and purple plug in the e box to activate ccs ?Found it. From the looks of it @Tanstalf is taking the harder route of CCS on the wheel with a EUR5. Mine’s on the stalks.
EU5 engine don't accept CCS on the wheel and you'd need to upgrade your clocks if you want ACC. From speaking with other industry experts in various fields some include a VOSA technical specialist flashing firmware on for ACC and the current process involved means using software that hasn't got VOSA type approval and the ECU software is a grey area both of these I've mentioned before, it has certain legal implications and it's information I'm putting out there it's up to you guys what you do with it.
Option three is the option we would offer using a CCS non trip stalk and trip/media controls on the wheel this is how it would of been from factory too.
Just my 10p worth
Cheers
Chris
Thanks guys for digging into this problem again. At the moment I need to fix a power (no horn) issue, but happy to try any resolution provided.Yes it involved the connections to BCM and that horrible one down at the bottom of the compartment under the battery. Probably the worst job ever, that connector.
Well, mine had the lowest of the low clocks and is def a EUR5. @Dav-Tec advised me (very well, I might add) that wheel CCS not possible on the EUR5 so I went for stalks. Not looked back.
Yep I did all the wiring for MFSW, including THAT one deep in the bowel of the engine bay.Found it. From the looks of it @Tanstalf is taking the harder route of CCS on the wheel with a EUR5. Mine’s on the stalks.
