You must put a minimum of 4.5 litres I think. You shouldn’t keep topping up, but wait till it will take abot 7-10 litres.I’d not recently filled mine either ,
i’ve put around two & half litres in ,
doing a 30 mile ew run in the morning see if it disappears
When it gets below 1500miles is the recommendation, but I think if you go below 600miles it won't start. The MFD will tell you how much to put in and be very careful not to overfill it.Whens the right time to top up?.1st time using adblue.
It's hard to be confident about the long tern reliability of the Euro 6 system. Getting things repaired (eventually) under warranty is one thing, having to pay when out of warranty is another.Sounds similar to my last failure. I scanned my van the other week with VCDS and to my surprise there are 2 more fault codes recorded both relating to the Nox sensor and adblue system! It hasn’t flagged the engine management light yet but I’m sure it will in time.
I will get it booked into VW when I get a chance.
It really is a joke.
I was considering buying a new crafter to covert into my next big camper van. However, I don’t trust the euro 6 engine at all. So for the first time in over 20years of driving I have bought a Peugeot. I’ve had VW’s all my life but have had enough of my current engine failing so regularly.
Sorry to hear about the challenges. Could you post the results of your scan please. Preferably full engine section with freeze frame data. Is your van classified as M1 (passenger carrier) or N1?Sounds similar to my last failure. I fail to see how this was an injector issue, either the sender or the software in the control module, seems they went for the easiest and cheapest option for them when they are guessing.Well I picked the van up Wednesday, new adblue injector and system recalibrated, good to go . Today is Friday driving on motorway, 'ping' 650 miles left before no start. Adblue again. Booked in again for Monday.
That's a really good question, I'd be interested to know the answer to that too.Feel sorry for all you guys having issues. Touch wood, I seem to have been able to top mine up for the first time today. Hope VW can come up with a solution.
Without wanting to start another thread, can someone clarify something for me - is Adblue a feature we'll see on every diesel vehicle for the foreseeable future or is it a temporary solution (there's a pun in there somewhere) so that manufacturers can continue using their existing range of engines?
