Good morning this is the kind of engineering that VW needs too take note about There are some wonderful mechanics out there that fix and resolve issues big companies don’t seem tooAside from VW not fixing their poor EGR design.
Has anybody installed an additional crankcase vapour oil separator between the PCV and induction to remove the majority of oil vapour before it gets burnt in the engine and causes more soot and EGR blockage?
I have been running one on an old A4 TDI for about 6 years now due to excessive oil carry over in the blow by gases, it removes some nasty sludge instead of putting it back through the induction causing more soot. Note that this a 20 year old engine and it’s worn as to be expected.
My 2016 MY 180ps Euro5 doesn’t appear to consume any oil, not sure if that’s the same with the Euro6 models?
my friend was similar he took on cars other garages failed too sort out and was superb successful at
finding the problem ,so yes VW have. Got the flushing machine too sort the EGRissue
but don’t want too find or re design a new unit too fix this problem with the new T6 engines
I used too restore vintage classic cars as my hobby but now been disabled
I can’t get stuck in like I want too hence can’t do with blockages every 6-8000 miles
they keep saying it’s due too short runs .?? But van gets good runs every day and still blocks
my argument with VW is they never said at point of sale YOU MUST DO AT LEAST 15-20 miles in one
continuous run every day or you will have issues .??
so reluctantly I’m offering My Black Pearl KOMBI up for grabs
anyone after a nice private owned well cared for van give me a message
we’ll done with the T4 there’s nothing wrong with vehicles with few years under there wheels it’s all about how you look after it that’s important I run a 75 year old ford as my daily driver lol
thanks again VW guys xxx Royboy
