Alarm Movement Sensor - disabling for sleeping / leaving dogs / windows ajar [thread merge]

Do all Highlines have an alarm? Mine has the switch but no visible ultrasonics?
Yes, alarm and immobiliser is standard equipment in a highline. Believe the ultrasonics are in the roof console by the courtesy light.

Just a query for those with VAGCOM / VCDS / what have you..

Can the coding be changed so that the internal sensors button uses the sliding door open / closed signal instead of signals from the drivers door? Would make camping loo trips easier (when both seats have been swivelled and you can’t climb out of the drivers’ door).

Why don’t you just lock all the doors with the buttons rather than the alarm. Then you can open the sliding door from inside and the alarm won’t go off.

If you lock by pushing down the buttons, the tailgate would still be unlocked.

I reach over to the driver’s door and use the lock/unlock rocker switch which locks all the doors but doesn’t deadlock/alarm.

You can then double pull on an internal door handle to open.

You can change to all lock/unlock in Carista and VCDS.

I didn't know that, I seem to remember that there was an option to include rear doors/tailgate in this, so thanks for the heads up.
