235/65/17 AT+Oh yeah love these! I've been trying to persuade the other half that these are the wheels we need! So far she's said yes to the wheels, but no to the colour! They do look great in the bronze!
What's the tyre spec on them?

I went for the same Pirellis as you, so far very happy with them, no increase in road noise (though I haven’t been up to motorway speeds yet) and virtually no speedo error. And if they grip as good as they look I’ll be well pleased.235/65/17 AT+
Nice wheels. what colour is your van? do we have long to wait before you fit and can post a picture?Mine are here now waiting to go on.

The plan, weather permitting, is to C5 the wheels tomorrow as it's going to rain, then hopefully fit them on Sunday if dryish.Nice wheels. what colour is your van? do we have long to wait before you fit and can post a picture?
They look lovely - so could I powder coat the Devonports and put that size tyre on them? The wheels will be fine.
I just fitted these Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus 235/65/17

Yes absolutelyThey look lovely - so could I powder coat the Devonports and put that size tyre on them?
I've got 225/65/17 on 8" rims, and whist totally within guidelines; the tyres do look a bit thin IMO.

Thank you very much for explaining to someone who doesn’t have a clue. So rather than powdercoat I’d do better to buy 8” width rims?Shouldn't be a problem. The tires might b a bit more balloonish, if you know what I mean, because the rims are 7 inches wide compared to 8 inches on the OZ's. And you might need a spacer to keep it from rubbing on the inside when steering, and to give it a better looking stance..

Thank you very much for explaining - I understand now. I agree with you - I prefer the look of the bigger tyre on the 8" rim. So I will buy a wheel and tyre set. That's one decision done. Now just to decide on tyres I really like the look of BFGs with Black Rhino Unit wheel but have got to get my head around the speed rating. Having read this whole thread seems BFG speed rating S (110mph) isn't enough for T6 but I just can't see myself doing over 110mph. Any advice would be very welcomeNo you can mount a 235/65 on a 7 inch rim. The sidewall will look a bit rounder if you understand what I mean. The photo below are 235/65/17's on 7 inch Thunder rims.

This photo below shows 8 inch wide Twin Monotube rims with probably 235 or 225 tires. The tire looks less fat, i.e. the sidewall is straighter. Personally I like this look. These rims have less ET also, i.e. they sit less far in the wheelwell. If you want to achieve this wider stance with 7 inch rims you probably need 20 or 30mm wheelspacers, also to prevent the tire from rubbing in the wheelwell when steering. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I still haven't deceided what to do myself and did a ton of research.

Just spoke to them - I can change the wheels but if not standard manufacturer option they will not be covered if stolen or damaged. They didn't care about speed rating. I can live with that. Thank you very much for adviceThe speed rating should not be an issue as it is widely accepted in most markets that winter tyres are often lower speed.
The only issue would be your insurance company with their tolerance to "changes to manufacturers specifications" you could simply call them and ask the question before you purchase.
