B-pillar swivel table

Is the large rectangle table stable enough then? As I'm sure I read/spoke to someone and they originally said only the circle type for B pillar due to load/potential weight.

I want to use it as a desk for rear seats and also front passenger seat when swivelled round?

So best way to fit the brackets from chippy worktops? Rivnuts or self taps? :)
I use my van as a mobile office and I use a similar size table all the time, it works fine for me. I wouldn't want to lift myself up on it but for laptop use and eating off when camping, it works fine. I just screwed the bracket, sorry but can't remember screw size but they weren't particularly big as I was worried about hitting the fuel filler neck.

Looks a good bit of kit this alpkit brukit so I’ve bought one! Top marks again monkey,ta.
No worries mate but I did notice they where out of stock, and they pre order so they’ll take your money and you have to wait for it to re stock which I think was the end of feb.

Here's my new table from @ChippysWorkshop...took a couple of weeks to arrive but the quality is brill.
Just got to find time to fit it..and the awning, led bulbs, bonnet wrap....and rebuild my wife's Sportster. :grin bounce:

This is mine, Reimo arm and Chippys Workshop top, I also have a freestanding table that stores in the sliding door

What’s the dimensions of your table / worktop please? Looks to be size I’m looking for.

Also, has anyone fitted a locking swivel mount to the table top to provide a flexible solution?

If anyone wants a just a lightweight table top for a swan neck leg I have around 40/50 in stock. I am happy to do a special posted price for forum members just drop me a pm and I will get back to you asap
Was looking for a table and saw this post. Do you still have any as it was a year ago. If so what size/shape/colour/finish are they?

My table top is a bamboo chopping board I bought, big enough for a laptop and a brew, or me and MrsWB's coffee and lunch. Went round the top and bottom edges with a router to break the sharp edge and then rubbed in a couple of coats of furniture wax and Bob's your Aunties brother and all that. The table top, or rather the chopping board was £10 all in.

Thanks and brilliant idea. I’ve just remembered I have a round bamboo chopping board in the garage I’ve never used that came with my Cobb oven! Will see if it’s big enough.

Can anybody confirm whether it's safe to drill into the exposed metal part of the left B pillar base marked in red?

as far as i know, some table are held from there
just don't drill too deep otherwise you'll drill into the diesel/addblue filler pipe

That's what I was concerned about, I can't tell from the outside how close the pipes run. It's just to put a couple of rivnuts in to screw in loops for bungees.

I’m fairly certain you can see the gap if you pop off the underbody plastic and shine a torch up there. Quite a bit of space there, I’m sure.
