Camper Jam

Park in car park in the day, then just move the car at night using the sticker from someones van.

Failing that then just leave it in car park over night - loads do this.

I never get why people leave at the crack of dawn on Sunday, its an odd habit loads of campers suffer from.
Guilty as charged! I’ve always treated the last day of any break, home or abroad, camping or hotel, as going home day and like to get moving as soon as we are able. We will take our time a bit on Sunday but still expect to be on the way home by noon - blood alcohol level will probably be the biggest deciding factor on when we can leave :)

We won't be leaving that early but once breakfast is out the way we'll start to slowly pack up. The other reason people leave early is you have to unpack everything when you get home, well at least I do as mines a Kombi and will be back working on Monday. Saying all that, we only live 30 mins down the road so we won't be in a mad rush to leave and doubt we will be gone before noon. Others live a lot further away so will be keen to get going.
As @Davenjo said, the hangover will play a big part in any Sunday movements.

Despite the camping clubs asking you to take fire buckets we have never bothered. However, the big wild fires in Lancashire and several in Wales today (Shell Island have just put an immediate ban on all fires until further notice as a result), together with seeing how dry the ground is on the videos from Camperjam, I am rethinking and will be packing a spare bucket on all camping trips, including Camperjam, until further notice. They will have a fire tower and spotters but, with the unusual conditions for the UK, it would still be worth a few of us taking buckets to fill with water on arrival and strategically place around our area - any one else bringing one?

Those that don't must be prepared to use beer in an emergency.
Safety never has a holiday....

I've got a couple of Fire extinguishers, not sure how long its been since they were last serviced (quite a while as they are in the back of the shed) but I'll dig them out and bring them along.

Unrelated (and hopefully very unlikely) safety issue; we were at a small local, family orientated, music festival over the weekend - on the Saturday afternoon someone was walking around with a plastic box of jelly filled chocolates and randomly handing them out - several people, who had innocently accepted and eaten them, were taken very ill and paramedics had to be called - fortunately no-one was seriously hurt but dread to think what would have happened had they been inadvertently passed onto the kids and/or someone taking other medication that were there. Someone obviously thought it would be a giggle to get random strangers stoned but it could have had very serious consequences.

The organisers are absolutely devastated that this has happened and have called the police in to follow up - next year's festival is currently in doubt :(

I'd always thought things being spiked and handed out in this way was a bit of an urban myth but not anymore. A big thing about these festivals is being able to let the kids wander around unsupervised but I'll be drumming this one into Josh - we all tell them not to accept sweets from strangers but it seems us old-us need to take care as well.

So basically loads of people went on ‘whiteys’ lol

Just be glad they didnt use spice.

No idea yet what was used but they shouldn't of used anything. We are not naive and are used to the pungent smells around some campsites - this festival was no different - IMHO, what people choose to take, so long as it doesn't impact others, is up to them but recklessly exposing others, as they did, is stupid, inexcusable and dangerous.

Hi,

Is there anyone going to Camperjam this weekend that could activate my folding mirrors on the fob?

It’s an early T6 140 dsg Highline with factory folding mirrors.

I’d be very grateful and pay cash or beer/wine tokens

Thanks Pete
