ClimAir wind deflectors

Do these need a screw to fix them ?

The advert states no clips or screws required ?

might be different one mate
i went heko originally, and after losing several on varios motorways etc, went down the climair route, the ones with the piddly little screw to hold the bottom bracket on
havnt seen the clipless / screwless ones
probably stuck me nose into the thread a bit quick lol, :)

My climair deflectors have a tiny screw in the front (not bought through the link above but would have thought to be the same) When I called Climair a while ago to ask about them (I called regarding stock availability in covid) they said most of their deflectors for vehicles don't have a screw but due to the shape of the T6 window/door they do for the transporter.
There are no clips involved

Has anyone found a way to secure the ClimAir deflectors without the screw & bracket? I see EuroCar parts has the smoke ones @ £38 (again)

I have fitted mine without the screw in bracket and they seem to stay in fine.

Didn’t fit tightly enough, couldn’t see where the small screw fitting needed to be put so tried putting some stainless clips in and that didn’t work either so they are going back and I will get the Heko ones

I fitted mine, dead easy. Good job there was 3 screws in packet because I dropped one on tarmac drive. It completely vanished.
Are they expected to make much difference wind noise?

I agree, I dropped one down inside the door.

Do you need to screw them in ?
Yes, a small bracket and rubber insert. One screw in each. Put something underneath to catch the tiny screw when you drop it. A magnetic Phillips screwdriver would be helpful. 1mm dia drill bit. Looks tidy and quite simple to do.

One suggestion was if you don't have a 1mm drill bit, use a nail, or panel pin heated to melt a small hole. I found that less stressful

Can someone show me a picture of their climair wind deflectors where they screw in please? I have pushed them in to the trim but then when I added the rubber bit and then screw on section it fouled the window. So at the minute they are just pushed in.

Does this help?

Hi all, I have just bought (11/04/23 ) a pair of ClimAir 'smoked' wind deflectors from Euro Car Parts on line £37.49 with free shipping, the cheapest I have seen anywhere. Having read several reviews on various makes with different fitting arrangements, including a very helpful review from one of our own family here on the Forum, I decided on the ClimAir - even though I will be required to drill a small hole in the plastic at the top edge of a each door window. If you go onto the 'Van Style' site and look at the same item(£58) there are a couple of good close up pics of how the little bracket fits and where you are required to drill a small screw hole. I just wanted to pass this info on in case anyone was about to buy a pair.
Best regards to you all
