Covid-19: How is it affecting you?

Being a window cleaner I don’t really get in contact with customers. But I’m normally booked flat out for the moment for spring cleaning ie getting conservatory roofs cleans and gutters cleared etc all ready for summer. Iv had no inquirers I’m normally booked 6 wks ahead. I have of course got my regular customers for there windows but if we either got in lock down like Italy or my customers self isolate and not earning money then I do realise that I’m gonna be the 1st thing to be suspended. Trying times ahead for all for sure

Currently in day 5 of isolation. My eldest boy had a bad cough. We have 3 other kids. Luckily work have said i will be paid for my isolation, so not too bad.

My new bus is being delivered on thursday, well excited. Im going to miss the old one, but cant afford both.

Main problem i can see is trying to resist ordering stuff to modify. Must resist.

Stay safe everyone and hopefully this will all blow over.

Resistance is futile. Go on line and get credit card out you know you want to:)

I’m a SE sparks and have work for about 3 weeks, but my phone has been quieter than I’d like it, but you never know what tomorrow will bring as the glass is always half full

My misses is a midwife and they are always short, so any sickness means extra shifts up for grabs ... thankfully

However, nice weather and cancelled work will mean a trip or two down the golf course!

My Mrs business as a self employed fitness instructor, effectively evaporated today.
All the local village halls, that she does her classes in, have now told her they are closing.
Thats about £400 a week gone.

My current project in the construction sector will last about another month or so and all the other jobs I had booked in have been cancelled on me.

HOWEVER, in the 1940,s, my grandmother waived goodbye to my grandfather as he went off to North Africa to fight the Nazis, not knowing if he'd return, whilst she suffered night time bombing raids and rationing.

We all need to start looking out for one another and especially our elderly.

I watched an ambulance crew in full bio hazard gear remove an old person from a house just around the corner yesterday.

makes you realise it's right on your doorstep...

Cases in my area have tripled in 2 days and it's only just the start...

stay safe everyone...!

Self employed already been off work over 3 months with a slipped disc then this crap comes along just as I was hoping to start earning again. Oh and I've just the other week ordered a new t6.1 .

What is it actually like, anyone know anyone thats had it? Does it knock you off your feet or can you still get about like a horrid flu?

I think the point is that it’s incredibly variable. You can have essentially no symptoms or it can be life-threatening and presumably everything inbetween.

My brother has it. All the symptoms, but all mild. It’s not really slowing him down at all. He is self employed, but works from home. He’s 53 and averagely healthy.

Is that confirmed or self diagnosis?
