ok first trip out to see a Shuttle this morning. Dealer knew I was coming and which one I wanted to see. 3hr drive in total and well. Yes it’s still for sale err but the technician borrowed it for a course so it’s not here.
FFC it’s not hard is it !!!
:mad::mad:

I feel your pain mate, I made a trip to a dealer to look at a van and it had been sold a week earlier despite me ringing the day before to see if it was available and when I raised this with the salesman he basically called me a liar !

Had a similar issue on an Audi A4. Travelled from Oxford to Leeds to view one that had everything on it that I wanted, phoned up to double check that it had Bose, drove 3 hours, arrived..... yes you’ve already guessed, no Bose! They tried to sell me it anyway, told them where to park it!

I actually bought a Tiguan Demonstrator White 150 DSG.
When I went to collect it it turned into a Black 170 Manual... The salesman said it became unavailable the day before delivery so simply substituted it thinking it would be okay !!

Now that is going the extra mile in stupidity !

Are you serious?
In what worldly dimension did a salesman think that would work? I bet his colleagues were hiding watching to see if he could pull that off.
They probably had a bet on it.

I accepted it with a massive discount, hated the 6 speed manual and 3 months later traded in against a Touareg from a more reputable dealer...

I had a similar experience with a Kombi @ Wrexham. Seems on the day I was top trumpted by a VW finance deal sale as I was only paying outright. I walked away rather annoyed but have since chuckled inside whilst passing the dealer....The van's still there, assuming the finance fell through on the day :)

I went to Milton Keynes once to look at a BMW ( Sounding like Polzeylad now). Phoned 2 hours beforehand they said it was available and when we arrived they were actually doing a hand over to the customer with the same car, it had been sold the week before.

On another note VW wrexham are a shower of s***e

Yes I upset the sales man buy wanting to pay the old fashioned way with money. If I had wanted finance and service plans etc etc he probably would have got it driven back in an hour

I purchased my first 5 series from Rybrook BMW, and the Salesman was next to useless. When I called and asked to be moved to a different guy, they asked why, and I said he was a bit of an idiot with little product knowledge. (idiot wasn't the word I used though)
I had a call from the same salesman about an hour later pretty much asking me for a fight! I politely declined but bought the 5 series anyway (just off another guy who was a lot better)

Ha ha ha..I'm glad I'm not alone :) Wrexham are VERY poor indeed. I don't take sales people seriously until they prove themselves. N Wales VW were a dream with the T6 and well worth the drive.

@Mfwic what they done now

OMG I bought my kombi from VW Wrexham before finding this forum... I did not realise you all have had bad experiences up in North Wales. The delivery driver was lovely but whilst he was on the phone to the sales manager (on loudspeaker) asking a simple question my wife had asked about the V5. The sales manager was heard ranting a complete swearing fit, "just F**king give her the F**king van and get your F**king ar*e back here" it was even pointed out that the customer could here! "I don't give a F**king dam, I have their money now!!"" They were crappy to deal with but the van was luckily a good one and as described. Phew

We bought from VW Cornwallis Heathrow, amazing experience.

We viewed a Startline at Hatfield VW, excellent sales guys, friendly and down to earth but wasn’t the right one for us. The same day we went to Citygate HW. The sales guy (who has now left) asked us “will you buy it if you like it after the test drive?” I could go on, but the sales guy can make or break a dealer!

they are totally crap and don't know what they are doing hopefully you wont have to deal with them again

Bought my T6 from Oli at Bognor Motors, who couldn’t have been more helpful, he spent one hell of a long time with me on several occasions on various VW vans & Californias from his fleet and on various quotes on different vans. I wouldn’t hesitate to give Oli a ring to ask him about any problems as you always get an reply pretty immediately.
Plus his knowledge of VW’s
