@mmi Could you be so kind and compare my SOOT readings with Yours?
Thank you in advance for help.
Correct.calculated mass is higher than measured but I assume this is normal?
Well, those are just single measurements of a lengthy process - so can't say much more than that.during DPF cleaning calculated soot mass was still high (approx. 18g) instead of measured soot mass was -6,00g.
On mine during normal drive the calculated soot mass goes from approx. 8 grams (just after DPF regen) to approx. 30 grams (max. soot load). The measured soot mass respectively approx. -4 grams to 6 grams.
During DPF regen the values simply go backwards - calculated from 30 grams down to 8 grams, and measured from +6 grams down to -4 grams.
NOTE: the above ranges can be different depending on engine software.
The above was partially described/pictured here
[T6_measured] DPF regeneration vs. short journeys
Got curious how T6 copes with doing short journeys. And how short would be too short for successful DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration. The graphs below are result of doing short journeys - the plotted one is number 3, thus two interrupted DPF regens before this. At this stage the...

It seems to a function of fuel consumed (produces soot) and DPF temperature (high temperatures burn off the accumulated soot).1. How is the soot mass is calculated?
The sensors do not need calibration. When the DPF is replaced the ash mass counter needs to be reset.2. Do I need to calibrate/ adopt sensors in DPF?
To monitor/log e.g. soot calculated/measures values an Android tool was introduced here:
[T6_measured] Monitoring DPF regeneration, DPF condition, EGR operation
Here's another approach for T6 DIY enthusiasts - taking advantage of very popular Carista OBDII-reader device - combined with an Android app. Ingredients: T6 EU6 engine: CXEB,CXEC,CXFA,CXGA,CXGB,CXGC,CXHA,CXHB. Carista OBDII device (also other generic OBDII (ELM327) devices will work) for...
