Has anyone ever regretted buying their van?

I take the position (maybe as I'm from Yorkshire) that I always look for a bargain in any major purchase.....eg my van was a Trendline as opposed to Highline as I figured there was an opportunity to get it looking like a higher model but without some of the luxury accessories....so with the addition of windows and foglights, I have a Highline look without the extra cost. I figured I can do without folding mirrors, mfsw, front sensors, sat nav etc. So any regrets I have in the future will be tempered by the fact I didnt blow the budget

With you on that but without the fog lights, I live down south so we have smog instead

Anyone had second thoughts? I like my T6 but I'm not sure I like it enough to justify the near mortgage sized financial ball and chain that has come with it! I've only had it for 6 weeks... Have I f****d up here??!
Brilliant question and one many of us have asked ourselves, 25 responses in 2 and a half hours should tell you something!!!

I started my Transporter journey 7 years ago, converted them, sold them and then realised I missed them and that was 6 transporters ago. Now I have a Caravelle

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

I really enjoyed doing my research and the
excitement of buying the thing, and now that it's sat on the cold wet driveway (usually in the dark when I see it) it's all a bit of an anticlimax!

And it doesn't help when my wife points out that for the same money we could have had a house extension or a round the world trip. She'll eat her words when I finally treat her to a weekend in Anglesey!

Cheers all!

I’ve managed to swerve round those sort of conversations, just point out how going round the world right now would suck lol

Iv owned mine since October & not used it but luckily it fits in my garage so it’s tucked away I don’t get that feeling of it sat in the rain etc but I’m holding onto all the great day trips etc we can use it for

Sometimes I see my receipts and think I must burn them hide to evidence lol
Ha ha my receipts don’t even make it home. Parts arrive via a courier they are hidden/ binned instantly.
Better not knowing and safer :sneaky:
