Heated Front Screen - Is Mine Faulty?

Sorry for a probably dumb question...anyone know how to turn the heated front screen on in the t6.1?!
In t6 there were two buttons, one for front, one for rear. Just picked up a t6.1 high line kombi yesterday which has a heated front screen as standard, but I can’t work it out as it only seems to have one button which only does the rear...
Handbook seems to refer to a button that isn’t there?! Thanks.
You cannot see it when sat in drivers seat, it is behind the left hand side of the steering wheel,

Ha! Thank you....spotted once I moved my head 6 inches to the left :) Hopefully Santa will bring me some spectacles. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

I appear to be having the same issue. I have a 2017 combi with heated front screen option.

it doesn’t appear to be doing anything when switched?

I’ve checked both fuses and and getting 14.5v both before the screen and after as well as continuity.

Are the heated screens effective and am I just expecting too much?

any comments would be gratefully appreciated............

Mine works but compared to my previous vehicle, a Landrover, and the wife's Volvo, it's pretty slow to clear frost.

Some seem to work better than others. Mine will demist in approximately 20 seconds but any frost and its a couple of minutes.

"Mine went in today for new screen ,and side Windows leaks looking at .
Got a call at 3-30 to say they opened new screen packaging only to find it had a chip on the bottom of the new screen .
But now they don't have another screen as they are on back order .so I have to wait till it comes in stock to be fitted along with 2 new side Windows . "

if you're not bothered about the VW stamp get them to check with autoglass stock, at least make sure it is Saint Gobin or Triplexx etc

Mine doesn't seem as quick as I remember my Dad's Granada in 1987, but that had thicker wires. It's still pretty good though. Thick ice is gone in less than two minutes. It's a pitty the door windows aren't heated too.

That was a real luxury in 1987. Not only did your Dad have a good heated screen in his Ford Granada, he was allowed to go out it and drive for pleasure! :slow rofl:

For those with factory fitted heated screens, is your passenger side wire hanging down like this? Seems to be flapping around which doesn’t look ideal?
