Well just had my insurance renewal for this year expecting a hefty jump based on all the news about the jump in the cost of motor insurances, and I was shocked that mine has only got up by a massive 97p don't think I will bother shopping around!!!

I had similar with Admiral (renewed December '23) - went up about £20.00. Pot luck thought I think. Am interested to see if it rises again this year...

Just renewed mine. Had to declare a non fault accident earlier in the year and to my surprise the renewal was a couple of quid cheaper than the previous year.

Unfortunately I also had my renewal from LV and had to leave. We've recently acquired an EV as third vehicle in the family and they quoted around £450 for a year as we had no NCD to allocate it, but for a month it was just £40 so time to think. When the renewal came it had jumped to an eye-watering £870 - more than the T6.1 and Volvo combined.

This year we ended up going with Admiral Multicar - they don't seem to load EVs as high and they also asked how many claim free years we could prove even if we had no NCD to allocate resulting in a much more reasonable (if not cheap) premium for the i3.

One thing I have noticed this year - there are a lot more statements about not modifying vehicle software creeping into insurance policies - a worrying trend for those that need to do so.

Just re done my insurance. Last year One call renewed at £480 now £704 with £750 excess. Just called LV and quoted £470 with £650 excess with guaranteed valuation.
Happy with that!

My multi vehicle policy renewal just came up with LV...pleased its gone down by around £100, shock horror, wasnt really expecting that but it could be due to the 'swan on the carriageway incident' which has now dropped off after 5 years (Not me...wife)

My policy from LV has reduced by about 40%. 6 seater unconverted/unmodified. Only tried one other broker and they were twice the price. Guess, I'll be happy with this one.

I have just received notice from LV that they will not be quoting for the renewal of my existing policy due to a change in their underwriting criteria.
So it looks like they are not covering third party converted vans.

When I phoned them back in January I didn’t get chance to say whether it was third party converted or a VW original… As soon as I said I was after a quote for a campervan they said they no longer insure them.
