I totally agree, a forum is not the place to discuss the things that the many emergency service members on here see. Which is why I find it rather strange that you made such a comment about “on most shifts ...... picking up body parts from another fatal rtc” when the original commentary relates to a number plate.Certainly don't want to trade gruesome stories of jobs we have all been to that should never see light of day on a public forum and I'll give you that she sees more body parts being dealt with by the fantastic teams from Fire and Ambulance. She will though be the one searching victims for ID. After the other services leave and CI take over you might be surprised how many 'bits' turn up that have to bagged (or fire brought back to clean). Even then calls often come in from MOP who come across things they'd rather not find some distance from the scene.
All emergency services do a hard and often thankless job- thank goodness they are there to do the jobs other people run away from.
Your commentary on number plates was accurate enough based upon the experiences of Roads Policing, of which there are a number of serving and retired here, and that was all that was required.
Yet you then continue to go on about gruesome finds. No need.
You need to look at the winky emoji that was posted after my comment as “tongue in cheek” inter-service banter, as we all love to poke a bit of fun at each other.
