Price of diesel in your area?

It'll go up even higher to cover the cost of lost fuel due to envitable thefts from the pumps. Dodgy numberplate suppliers are going to be cashing in.

North east England
Jet = £1.69

I deliver the stuff for a living, up to now I’ve seen zero decline in sales. Forecourts are as busy as ever.

I still think it all should be pay before filling up.

I always pay at the pumps when I can, so sort of do. Unless the forecourts have the hardware, that's not really possible.

I filled up at Sainsburys in Shrewsbury today at 152.9. On my way up, Applegreen in Church Stretton was 153, on the way back, 3 hours later it was 168

I thought it is possible. park up. Go into Kiosk pay for x amount on litres of fuel, go back fill up, pump cuts off when you get to the pre paid for volume.

Fist time I went to California in 1990 this is how it worked so surely we have the tech.

In my lifetime I've never seen a petrol station increase the price of fuel by 15p a litre in one go. These are indeed strange times we live in.. And worrying!
I travelled along the A1 today and a lot of people are driving very steady, 60 mph ish, the company vehicles are still doing higher speeds, you can often tell which vehicles are driven by the person who pays the fuel bill.

I can't remember the last time that I actually looked at the price - I know that I've got to fill up both my van and car and therefore can't see the point in worrying about something that I can't control. I tend to use my local garage which is competitive for the immediate area but probably not as cheap as the nearest supermarket pump but I can't see the point in driving all that way just to fill up. Mind you, it helps it helps that I only do a total of under 10K miles in both cars and I do feel for those of you who have to do (and pay for) mega mileages.

Lancaster, (North West ) £1.72 today as i visited.

Garstang area where i live £1.58 - £ 1.69 within 2 miles.

To digress, we asked for a fill up of LPG in our house hold tank the other week but only received 30% as there wasn't enough to go around apparently.

We had a letter from Calor “explaining” why we’d only get up to 70% of tank when they fill up our LPG. The letter was a joke - full of “woke” twaddle!!!

I forgot to add 10p a litre more expensive than a neighbour paid in December !.
As for the poxy standing charge going from 24p a day to 43p a day from April…..I could heat with my boiling piss! Merchant Bankers, the lot of them!

Oh it affects you - you're getting less fuel for your twenty quid!
You mean like how a 10-slice 12” pizza really isn’t better value than an 8-slice 12” pizza?!!
