Review: Ovano

As above, my question to Ovano (awaiting a reply) is can the drawer be stopped from opening fully, I.e. locked in place at a third or half of the way open.

It can’t. It only locks in two places, fully extended or fully closed.

it looks such a good bit of kit. How much space is there behind the seats on the section that would be a shelf? I’m wondering if there would be space for a dometic top opening fridge that can be accessed from the rear seats rather than using the drawer.

There’s more than enough room for a fridge to go there. My dog crate fits in that space and its much larger than my fridge. In the picture below, the section that will be immediately behind the seats when the seats are up is the large single section of the unit. This slides back and the two smaller ones behind it fold up. This large section can also flip upwards to make a bulkhead.
I keep my fridge in the drawer so i don’t have to move it when i fold the top down into a bed.

Had mine for a few months now; really rate it. The drawer is excellent and allows you to make full use of the space. As mentioned above, unless it's packed tight things will slide around in it. I've got a load of grip mat to solve the issue, but still on the look out for a more aesthetically pleasing solution.

I do have a very slight rattle though. It is only very slight and only appears on poor road surfaces, and it comes from this hinge, when it's in this position. Trying to solve that issue currently

Not used it as a bulkhead yet but in case anyone is interested, it would be like so

I lined mine with carpet. Seems to do the job quite well and looks OK. I bought a loadspace carpet for a Kombi and cut it to fit. The carpet is basic hardwearing stuff but does the job for £30.

Or if you fancy a more luxurious carpet, pre-made to fit, these guys do them. I think Ovano will be offering their own with their logo on at the same price but don’t quote me on that.

Does anyone in Ayrshire have one installed, or even the central belt ?
I reckon it looks like what I need but I want to check my tools and equipment would fit

I met a local guy last weekend to see the ovano in his van, what a brilliant piece of kit, I'll be ordering mine very soon.

Here are a few shots with one of my 26” wheeled MTB’s loaded in the drawer. Trying the 27.5” over Christmas and will post that. Fitted with plenty of room. Very pleased with mine so far and works as a bed super well too.

How did it go with the 27.5 wheeled mtb ?

Get in touch via email and we'll send you a new hinge out to get rid of the rattle if its still an issue?

More aesthetically pleasing mats coming very soon too.
