Should I apply Body Corrosion Inhibitor?

Lanoguard have the best social media marketing, and it works OK for me. However, better value for money is available and I would use a different product if I didn’t have enough sheep fat in my cellar for the next 20 years.

I have noticed that lol. Lanoguard seem to have taken over Facebook when I look ! All the products seem to be ' the best ' so I thought it would be good to try another to see if its any good and how long it lasts As I mentioned before I am amazed how a these work vehicles seem to be badly protected, more so pick up trucks but vans also Like I say too it cant do any harm so for less than £ 50 for a kit it has to be worth a try

Hello,

Saw another thread on my usual break from work scroll and learn.

Does anyone routinely spray ac50 rust resister type stuff under their vehicle.

I have not even looked if I have a problem, just curious as to what lengths folk go to?

If they do, where do they focus their time?

I had an AA inspection when I bought and they seemed unfazed by a small amount of surface rust on spare wheel +/- holding mechanism.

ACF50?

Lanoguard, Lanoshield or the Buzzweld Lano spray are the ones to use. Superb protection, easy DIY application, doesn't chip or allow rust to spread unseen, stops existing rust dead in its tracks, relatively easy to remove if required.

I'll not do mine this year but next will give the undersides a good seeing to before it's 4th birthday.

I used a 500ml bottle of Lanoguard last year to give some protection. Primarily because I’d spent a small large fortune on new suspension and wanted to give it a degree of protection. Will give it another coat before the salt starts going in the roads and see if it did any good or not.

Yes, acf50 sorry.

Lanogaird etc, easy enough to diy? Would presume need massive access to do a good job?

Where would you focus on?

Thanks both

Depends how fussy one wants to be. I was happy enough to do just what I could get to with the van on ramps out on the road. I could reach pretty much all the exposed metal work easily enough that way with a 500ml trigger bottle of Lanoguard. Also turning the front wheels each way helps get to the front suspension. With a proper elevating ramp you could then remove wheels, spare, under body panels etc and get to even more and start injecting into chassis members etc. There is also a grease you can use too. Far more than I could be arsed with though!!

Fair,

I have ordered their ‘starter’ regular kit. So spray and wax. I’ll give the under body a pressure wash and get to it!

Same as you, limited access so will do best I can.
